Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:45 am

Many?

I've only heard it's the strongest it's ever been, as anyone can beat anyone.
Most of the TV pundits have been saying the same.

Surely you have just made that up?

I mean... What the hell?

If crystal palace or Watford are anywhere near the automatics next year I will eat a monkey.

Very rarely teams need over 50 points to stay up in the championship. So surely the sides down the bottom are stronger?

If I was concerned then it would suggest I am concerned I am wrong and it is indeed the strongest championship of all time.

We have two relegated teams in turmoil within 2 points of being in the drop zone to league 1. The top 5 consists of Cardiff, hull, Watford, palace and Brighton. We are run away leaders after performing averagely for most of the season, on fact we have even had calls for Malays head at times.

Lets not kid ourselves its not had the quality this year of previous years and all 3 promoted teams will have a serious struggle on their hands next year.

But, hey, we are there and thats the most important thing. :malky:

Yes all very interesting paxoman like when you say you would eat monkey meat, a really interesting choice.

As always you haven't answered the question and lets face it you have absolutely no idea what SFV is do you. For the sake of clarity, a lovely word clarity isn't it, if you knew what it was you most certainly wouldn't be claiming you would eat it.

But the thing your claim to be prepared to eat monkey meat is a nonsense, an embellishment, intended to do what :? You do this a lot do you have a deep rooted need to make silly statements. :?

Anyway we clearly proved yesterday that your complete lack of understanding of the bookmaking market left your comments valueless perhaps we can now prove that your views on this seasons Championship is also valueless.

Let the debate commence but only after you answer the question Do you know what simian foamy virus is?

Is this another one of your buzz words, you have read "eat monkey" and thought SFV and have ignored all replies answering every one of your questions as you want to continue spouting your nonsense.

As I told you on the other thread, you were the only one discussing how bookmakers compile their books, literally, the only one. And accusing people of not knowing how they did it even though they hadn't even mentioned it. A bit like your obsession with SFV, nobody is discussing it apart from you yet you are telling people they don't know what it is. It really is the ramblings of a mad man.

I have said I will eat a monkey (no embellishment, any suggestion of that is purely a guess on your part) if Watford or palace will finish anywhere near the autos next season. It is my belief that this is a freak year and the league will be to it's normal high standard next year, thus I don't believe I would be eating a primate, this not concerned about any primate dwelling disease.

Again, couldn't be out simpler, lets hope the simple mind computes it this time

For us it seems to be a weaker championship because of how well we've played this season. Look how tight it is at the bottom, It's a tough league. Anyone who say's the championship was poor this season are fools

We're the famous Cardiff City and we're going to the Premier League, everything else is irrelevant. Look at this mornings press and TV then get used to it. The powers that be are going to love us.
Capital city, big club and great supporters. From here on in it is going to be all about us.
Just look at the fuss they have made about it on Sky Sports News and commercial radio.
I bet Roath Tragic has hanged himself.

I haven't said I'm prepared to eat monkey meat. If I did then that would mean I expect my opinion to be wrong, which I obviously don't. As for primate meat being infected with disease, that's another mistruth. Some is infected. You do know what SFV is don't you, I mean you are the one making a song and dance about it.

As for the bookmaking. I have never, would never and continue not to discuss how a bookmaker makes ther books. It is irrelevant to any discussion I have ever had and is of no interest to me. It's a simoe concept anyway and one that really doesn't have to be discussed.

I said bookies offer lop sided odds so shouldn't be entertained when thinking if placing a bet, you decided to turn my viewpoint into something entirely different, and went on to explain why bookmakers make lop sided books. Which of course is of no relevance at all, the fact they are lop sided means they don't represent true value for the punter, which is why they shouldn't be dealt with..... As my point suggested.

You will get it eventually.

What a stupid argument.

So if a league is competitive it means it's quality. My local Sunday league is competitive, it's far from quality. Competitive simply means a lot of the teams are of the same or similar standard. The standard is poor.

So when you said you would eat Monkey Meat you were in fact making that statement as an idiomatic expression like when people would normally say "I'll Eat My Hat" if something they consider so unlikely to happen were to actually happen. But you didn't say hat you said monkey meat. Why? is exchanging hat for monkey meat an embellishment intended to place emphasis on the unlikelyhood of Watford or Palace getting anywhere near the playoffs.

You see I'll eat my hat is a common figure of speech but I'll eat my monkey meat well thats well left field isn't it. Why do you feel the need to do that. :?

Anyway this bookmaking debate we have now moved the goalposts from cons and nonsense to a lop sided market. For clarity, a lovely word clarity, what is a lop sided market.

And who is this Kathy or Kathryn.

No, again you have seen a buzz word and gone off on some crazy google tangent.

I said I'd eat monkey meat and meant it. But I don't believe I will have to eat monkey meat because I don't think it will come to that as I firmly believe I'm right. I think it's a ridiculous notion to eat a hat, even more so than meat. Ill stick to monkey meat, I'm not into embellishing.

Again regarding bookmaking. No moving of goalposts have ever happened from my side. My opinion is exactly the same as my first post on the subject nearly 48 hours ago.

A lop sided market is one where Federer would be 1/10 to win and Andy murray would be 5/1 to win. If the punter, lovely word punter, accepts that Federer is a 1/10 shot to win and wants to back murray then he'd accept that murray should be a 10/1 shot. So why accept 5/1 that the bookie would offer. Simple and as basic as you can get.

A betting exchange offers true odds on perceived probability. In the scenario I gave you murray would be 10-1 and Federer the opposite at 1-10 basic maths, basic odds and basic probability.

Lets hope you get it this time.

You know full well who Kathy is Gary.
