Hiya, well done for (nearly) making it to the prem! How do you think you will prepare for it? QPR-esque spending lots of money?
Thanks to the 3 that voted for Forest to win the play-offs!
My main point though is what did you think to the referee's performance? To me, he seemed a bit inconsistent. Do you think that Henderson deserved his red card (I dont) Also did you see the incident just before, with Greg Halford going down in your box, after a corner from us? He seemed to get an arm in the face, similar to the Henderson 'foul' but it wasn't on FLS so not sure. And Greg Halford getting stretchered off from a foot in the face, what did you think to that 'challenge'
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:08 pm
I voted Forest
I think we'll do more of a Swansea/Norwich. Keep the spine of the team but strengthen on the weaker areas
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:11 pm
harsh sending off, henderson an accident. we were the better team by a mile.
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:15 pm
Wasn't a red card to be fair but these things happen. However, over the course of the game it was the right result. Its definitely a red card you should be appealing against as it was definitely an accident.
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:15 pm
Foot in the face was unfortunate but no malice fair challenge
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:18 pm
Thought the sending off was harsh, but the halford injury was more low head rather than high feet.
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:23 pm
i think forest came to bully us, i wont say a dirty team, but a team looking to win free kicks and penalties, i think once the forest team got no joy, we just out played them and fully deserved our win
Sat Apr 13, 2013 11:28 pm
Harsh sending off, but as your manager said if you go to the letter of the law he had to go, for me I think Brighton will win the playoff final

I think after the red card you were. You dominated from that point onwards, we didnt stand a chance. But it looked like we were starting to pressure and really trying to get something coming towards the end of the first half

Firstly, it was good to see that you brought a decent crowd, always nice to see that. Regarding the red, no, it was not a sending off. But, you set the scene with two very early yellows and tactics which I think contributed to your fait accompli. Good luck for the play-offs.

As was the arm from Henderson though. His arm wasn't particularly high, he didn't know where your player was, he just backed towards the ball. The only person who thought it was a red was, unfortunately for us, the ref.
I think they share similarities, no doubt your player had only eyes for the ball, and Halford ducked down to bravely head it away around stomach/chest height. As was Hendersons arm, he wasn't waving it around, he didn't really raise it either, he just put it out to back up. Just don't understand the refs decision. 3 match ban for him, for Violent Conduct?

Harsh red but overall before and after felt we were the better side. You have some good footballers shame about the dirty tactics from Billy Davies. The number 7 for you today impressed me

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies:
"I don't think he [Henderson] intentionally put his elbow up to the boy's face. I think his elbow has risen and connected with his face, but under the rules I don't think we can have any complaints about the red card at all. The referee had no choice.
"The run had to come to an end at some point. We have four games left and we know we need at least two wins. There will be plenty of movement in the coming weeks but it's the table at the end of the season that matters. It's all to play for."

But dirty is what you want to say isnt it!

I thought Cardiff, especially Bellamy (understandable being captain) didn't try to bully Forest, but bully the ref. He was in the face of the ref after every decision, and I think that can help you. Which worked well, thought the ref was poor for a prem ref though

Let's just be honest. CCFC were just miles better. End Of.

Making Bellamy captain was the best decision we've made, It means he doesn't get a yellow for dissent every week now

Hypothetically speaking, if I was playing and received a red card for that challenge, I would whip my bollocks out to justify getting sent off.
Regarding PL football: I believe the people in our structure are a lot more intelligent and if we spend, it will be intelligently. Hopefully a mix of youth and experience but also giving the players who have proved themselves this season a real chance.
Build from the back like we have this season

all i can say is under dave jones your plan would have worked. teams dont bully us no more, showed today. we were the stronger team

I voted Forest as well, and really hope you make it up with us
Harsh red card, but we deserved the win, in my view.

I was buying a beer at the time of the sending off and caught a quick glimpse of the replay. Looked like a slap to the face, soft and not a sending off. I havent seen the incident since so there isnt much more I can say.
With the incident on your player in our box, he dived. Marshall was furious with the way He went down and started to shout at him to get up.
Thought you guys looked ok today, as if you set up for the draw and were doing OK until the sending off. I personally dont think you will win the play offs, but hope you do. I think Watford will win the play offs, Ive been very impressed with the times I have seen them this year (not so much against ourselves last week).

I thought it was the centre half that went down not henderson. The one that went off injured after getting Rudy's foot in his face

As for the game we were stronger everywhere the sending off was deserved you cant hit someone in the face. The play offs are a lottery as we well know but Bolton are in the ascendancy and have the experience players to go all the way.
BUT AFTER ALL THAT THE BLUES ARE GOING UP UP UP UP

I thought it was a terrible decision for the sending off, more clumsy than cynical

No the african boy I think he is got a weird name. To be honest I didnt even realise Lasnbury was playing for them.

Harsh red, but can see why it was given.
Foot in the face was unfortunate, but it wasn't a high foot really and he did go for a low header.
standard of ref's this year has been appalling, but he wasn't the worst we've had

Yeah thats the one. Thought he was their stand out player but got fustrated by the end of the match by Kimbo and Mutch

Always a hard & physical game playing against a Billy Davies team, & today was no exception. As for the sending of, i thought it was a clear red card, no doubt about it.

Sorry mate, but you are scabs, and you know you are, so what sympathy do you expect down by here?
Sending off was soft - as for your shout your fella went down like a rest clutching his face like he'd been shot. End of.
We could have scored 7!
