Striker Heidar Helguson will miss Cardiff City's bid to seal promotion to the Premier League against Charlton on Tuesday because of injury.


His replacement Rudy Gestede scored twice but must compete with Joe Mason for a starting spot.


Fellow striker Fraizer Campbell and defender Matt Connolly also remain on the sidelines.

Campbell, who joined the Bluebirds in January 2012, has an ankle problem.

A groin strain keeps Connolly on the sidelines as they face a side bidding for a play-off place and who beat Barnsley 6-0 on Saturday.

Maynard trained again with the squad today,Rudy's conferdence must be high at the moment after his 2 goals on saturday.

Chris Powell is set to keep the same Charlton squad that thrashed Barnsley 6-0 and scorer Salim Kerkar could make the starting line-up.

Defender Leon Cort, back after a knee injury, may stay on hold for Saturday.
