VELIKONJA

Tue Apr 09, 2013 10:19 pm

What has he done wrong? Scoring for fun in the development games, had a great pre-season & yet cannot get anywhere near first team - despite us not having ANY decent striker in form.

He's 24 & played Champions League football - cost us over 1 million pounds and he's nowhere. He's hardly someone that needs a season to prepare for Championship football.

Fraizer will hopefully be back for Saturday but I agree, why buy him if you're not going to use him.

One of Malky's admittedly few things in common with Dave Jones is that if for some reason he seems to have his favourite players and if you are not one of the chosen few it seems you have little chance of getting any first team action.

Even so, I still think he deserved a chance tonight. Down to bare bones up top & he still can't get in the 18. He's either done something drastically wrong or a Malky doesn't rate him.

What about Noone??

God knows what he's done wrong either. :?

Admittedly, Craig Cnway is much better defensively, but going forward we have few better than Noone.

Agreed. Nobody knows how he will do at this level until he gets the chance.

Tell you what, i'd love for Velikonja to be given a chance. Thought Mason did f**k all tonight and as for Helguson, don't go there.

Re: VELIKONJA

The little I've seen of him (odd e elopement game and pre season) he's always looked decent. Many point to the FA Cup game, where I don't think he was given a fair chance & I think it's time he was given a go.

It would be unexpected too - suprise the opposition.

Re: VELIKONJA

It's a mystery, he's clearly got an eye for goal, a poacher is what we've needed for ages, we have that in Campbell, he's injured. Why not give him a chance? He got told to beef up, Etien is quite beefed up now

I think thats pretty standard with all managers tbh.

Felt Noone could have opened barnsley up really well tonight. Smith, who I rate, doesn't look at it in the slightest at the mo, god knows how hes getting game time.

I agree. Smith out of form tonight and to start him ahead of Noone was a big surprise.

He can't do any more than what he is doing already. It's bizarre.

That plays 9-1 when he has a 1-0 lead against a team 18 places worse off and a win essentially seals promotion.

What exactly is he going to do to try and keep Cardiff in the prem?

Yeah lets have 4 managers a year like forest...who i suspect will all appreciate reaching the play offs..we are a smaller club with stupid expectations who are top of the league after going another point ahead of the chasing pack in our game in hand..

malky could of done things differently and brought on noone and left kimbo on..we could just as easily of lost at leicester and gone the same way as they have but we aint, we have held it together and still remain top..

stop moaning :occasion5:

Some decent players up there to be fair, even the non scots and always worth a look as they seem to come cheaper.

It's a good league, competitive although maybe not as much now but it's a bargaining league. Hit and miss but we have done well out of Scotland

Malky is weird like that chuckles all the players he paid big money for he has hardly played. Look at kimbo who should have been ever present after Blackpool away he's only just started using Mutch and noone can't seem to get a game either

absolutely no way he will play this season, and dont think he really warrents a place in the side either.

Re: VELIKONJA

I guess MM has wanted to work with him on his game I can't think of another reason why he hasn't gone out on loan.
