We need to improve the atmosphere so why not have an anthem? A Welsh anthem would be great. When you look at clubs like Roma, Juventus, Galatasaray, etc. they all have their own anthems in their own language and thats what kick started their great atmospheres. After time of the same song playing fans get used to it, they hear the lyrics and they then join in.
Its not going to fix things over night but its a step in the right direction. Someone suggested Yma O Hyd before and I don't see why thats an issue. In fact its a great suggestion.
1. We are the biggest club in Wales and should lead by example
2. We should have an anthem being the biggest club in Wales
3. It will eventually help our atmosphere because fans will get more involved once it becomes the norm
Yma O Hyd's chorus is also brilliantly fitting for the situation we find ourselves in.
Welsh
Ry'n ni yma o hyd, x2
Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth, x3
Ry'n ni yma o hyd, x2
Er gwaetha pawb a phopeth,x3
Ry'n ni yma o hyd.
English
We are still here x2
Despite the worst of everyone and everything x3

I dont give a crap if other clubs think its lame or shit or its cringeworthy because we are already hated for numerous reasons whether its because we are welsh, we are sellouts in their opinion or because we have a hooligan past. It doesn't matter what other clubs think because we shouldn't care about anything other than Cardiff City.

so whats men of harlech then?
club plays it every game before both kick offs, has played it for years and years, has traditionally get the crowd going for years and years with fans responding with singing it and clapping their hands above their heads. Its sung or at least na na na na na na, during play as a chant.
couldnt get a bigger 'anthem' if you tried

Too much emphasis on the vocals there.
This is better and would provide a much better atmosphere if fans learnt the 2 lines of the chorus as it repeats and were waving around flags and scarves like mentalists.

I know they are a bigger and better supported club but there is not even an attempt to get something working at the club and the club have some responsibility in this. We should get an anthem with better tune and music and welsh and Tan should give out free flags for games!

Yes the Scarlets play it after a score, it's not their song it's Dafyd Iwan's song ang I'm guessing he wrote it for the people of Wales to sing and identify with if they want to. It's not a rugby song it's a protest song, and yes it is interesting?

He's just clutching at straws because we mock the Jacks for singing Hymns & Arias as it's a song that was made for rugby.

He's got a point, though. If one of the egg-chasing teams have already adopted this song, then we should leave it well alone. Some of the nationalists on here make me cringe. We're Cardiff City, not some west Wales egg team.

Yma o Hyd would be brilliant. Get Ali to play it so that we all learn it!
