Don't know how true this is but seen it on Mike's site, the lad who threw the smoke bomb on the pitch in Peterborough has had a knock on the door and is looking at 28 days jail and a ten year ban, sheer lunacy, after seeing those Cheslea lads jailed and banned for the same thing at the Liberty, you'd think people would have learnt.
The mad thing is the other lads involved even put the video of themselves doing it on you tube, so I bet their arses are twitching now, they may as well have written and signed a confession, do they think the police don't monitor these social sites, mad.

They were admitting it on Facebook how dull are they

Idiots

So annoying how it isn't allowed over here but you don't need smoke bombs to improve an atmosphere

Is that a 10 year ban from Peterborough or City stadium? Absolute joke if it is the latter. I mean if it was something dangerous like a flare or something, that could catch fire to something else then fair enough. But a smoke bomb? C'mon now. Getting a bit ridiculous with all this "nanny state/health and safety" nonsense. Next there will be bans given for chants some people may take offence to.

Its no joke and I don't think they are laughing. These thing are banned for a reason and whether you agree with it or not thats the law.We all know the punishment for football related indiscretions is 3 or 4 times what you would get normally. What I have trouble getting my head around is just how incredibly thick as shit these people must be.Deserve all they get IMO.

I think the ten year ban was imposed on the Chelsea fans after that incident and after the lads had served twenty eight days in jail.
Whatever ban they get will be from all football stadiums, also they will have to surrender their passport every time wales play abroad.
As for Nanny state I agree to some degree on some things, but after seeing that chap killed by a flare in the Millennium stadium when wales played Romania, my views are slightly coloured, after all "that was only a flare"
I don't know how the parent of the young child feels after one of those smoke bombs was thrown up at the rafters and landed on his daughter, perhaps he thinks it's justice.
Doing it was bad, but filming it was madness.

did any croation fans who let a flare off at the liberty get arrested would like to know .we are on the verge of the pl and our fans do that we dont need it we have enough grief know without them doing that
Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:36 pm
They let these same smoke bombs off in the Sheffield Wednesday toilets a couple of weeks ago, pain in the arse, glad the clubs shot of them !
Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:54 pm
They f*cking stink like hell for a start
Like you said its madness putting it on facebook.i dont know how this person can be considered a fan either as we all know football fans are treat like criminals even when we do f**k all.Theres cctv eveywhere without the need for facebook and twitter.
deserves to be banned in my opinion because fools like this will cost us tickets for next season

i remember a pub being burned in Watford
Tue Apr 02, 2013 5:46 pm
I was talking to the kid who threw it on, just before half time by the refreshment van. He was just staring at his hands and murmuring about them burning, so I guess these smoke bombs do have a certain amount of danger to them. He was'nt exactly keeping a low profile, so it's no surprise that he has been knicked. He was also not the brightest of lads, which comes as no great surprise and was clearely a bit worse for wear from too much alcohol, so all in all, the lad was an accident wating to happen.

Automatic 6 year ban for anyone who does bird, did he pick it up and throw it on the pitch or light it and throw it? Just thinking if he's picked it up and threw it he could say he done it to get it away from the terrace

Man Utd got fined for setting off flares against Marseille. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Italian clubs set of loads every game. I wish everyone in the ground set off 5 flares each.

There be no fucker left inside the ground then if they banned italian and russian fans, brazilian league teams is the worst ive seen on video clips for flares and smoke bombs there crackers for it
Tue Apr 02, 2013 7:59 pm
Its not the you tube videos he needs to worry about.....There was CCTV 20 ft smack bang infront of them on the steel upright and the fact the kid been telling eveyone on a FB city page where he bought them from etc
The first couple set a bit of an atmosphere going to be fair to them but why one was thrown i dont know

, IF they had of let them off a little more discreetly and not thrown them near the pitch then they would have done well in adding to the atmosphere to be fair and not got themselves in any bother with the law
