IF we get promotion will the atmosphere improve?

Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:02 pm

Or will more 'fair weather fans' be more attracted with the fixtures?

I reckon that the atmosphere will improve. With more people and a bigger capacity I think that it will or atleast I hope it will.

The atmosphere will boost massively like it does with every club. :ayatollah:

The atmosphere at home games will definitely improve if we are promoted. As City fans we are quite used to being up against. I remember back in the day when we were too good for the fourth division and not good enough to stay in the third our support was good because we knew how good we needed to be as fans to have a positive influence on the team.

These days we are quite used to having a bit of success. I guess what I am saying is the atmosphere against Liverpool at Wembley would have been much better than if we had been playing Bradford. When the odds are against us we gave better vocal support to the team.

We will be underdogs even at home against about half of the teams that visit us next season so our support will be very vocal next year.

Never improve while so many rugby supporters who have jumped on the bandwagon are watching us.

Personally I think it will get worse. When you're in the lower leagues people are genuinely interested in cardiff city but in the premier league every Tom dick and Harry will want a ticket

The atmosphere for Stoke, Swansea and a few others will be spectacular.

With all the blue brigade renewing their STs I can't imagine it will be great, they will be doom mongers if we are losing but they will most certainly be piping up with we are winning.

Why do you constantly bang the drum about pro blues renewing there season tickets ? Should it be up to you when someone says enough is enough ? Perhaps some still want to go because they want to promote the blue at games. Is that so wrong Chief ? Some still beleave that there is a slim hope of fans turning and getting back behind the blue.
But i wont be told when enough is enough and i certainly won't think if some old c**t says i should walk so I will.

Its a valid argument Nukes. End of. You have renewed because you love Cardiff City more than you hate the rebrand which is fine, stop pretending you hate the rebrand because you wouldn't renew if you felt so strongly. You are just as bad as the fans who have embraced the red, because in reality you have by signing up for another year of Cardiff City in red.

It's not wrong to promote the blue at games, I wear blue every time I go down the CCS. I don't want you to walk away. We are top of the league now and most are happy, should we be struggling next year in red you lot will be blaming the rebrand and stirring the pot. Chief, it would be a great shame if you walked away but Tan will never change his mind especially when the red seats go in.

If the rumours are right about around 4,000 exsisting season ticket holders not having renewed, and those seats most likely being taken by our new found plastic fan,I'm afraid the atmosphere will actually get much worse(if that at all possible)

No! Things will only improve when sanity rescues us from the off field antics that the 2012-2013 season has witnessed. How can one man have sown so much division and discord?

BS48 is right. If you don't like TESCO's you don't shop there. If you don't like the products at TESCO you don't buy from there.

If you don't like what Cardiff City FC are offering then you shouldn't continue to buy from there. i.e. season tickets. If you do buy from there whether you like it or not you are backing the business with your money. Whilst its hard because its Cardiff City and you dont see it just as some business, Tan does see it that way and that's why he'll see things differently. Tan talks business language, not emotional football fan language.

So by your logic, people buy products from Tesco to support them, not because they like the products.

No but by buying the products they're supporting TESCO. That money helps keep TESCO afloat. Im sure you know how profit margins, etc. works so im not going to spell it out. You may not think about it but its a causative effect of your actions in buying one of their products.

Ever heard the phrase 'support your local farmers'. Well to do that they want you to buy their produce. http://www.foe.co.uk/resource/faqs/food ... _5818.html

The best way to support Cardiff City is to buy a season ticket and the merchandise. The next best way is to turn up and buy from the stadium on the day whether that be through Compass so that the club gets its cut or in the club shop. By buying their produce, the goods they offer, the services offer, you are whether you like it or not, supporting the business in question and that is why BS48 is right.

Buying from products supports the store but people don't buy products because they want to support the store.

What I'm trying to say is that you can't compare football club to a supermarket, football is not a business. Just because Tan looks at Cardiff City as a business and the fans as customers, it doesn't mean you need to share the same view.

Jon you are missing the point. Tan sees our club as a spreadsheet with profits on it. One line will have ST renewals and he will be grinning from ear to ear when he sees the amount of people financially backing him.

No renewals = No money = Tan having to sell or give up the red, quite simple!
