It is the matter that success is what we want along with our original tradition.

But I don't think some fans are 'choosing' success over it.. I am one of them fans and I am a true believer that nothing we do will change his mind no matter if we protest.. march or whatever.

Coming from the guy that has bought a season ticket (correct me if I'm wrong I am just assuming). What distinguishes you from the rest of the fans?

Surely, though we would be a more attractive propsition to a prospective buyer of the club IF were are a Premier league team...........then we may be returned to our original colours..........no-one cares for league 2 teams???????????? only my opinoin of-course :ayatollah:

I support City REGARDLESS of what league or position we're in. I haven't accepted the rebrand and never will, but there are fans out there who are accepting it for atleast a season of Premier League football.

Really? you sure? have you asked every fan? How do you know that theyre not saying the exact same thing that they're here to support Cardiff City regardless. Aye there will be the odd few who have jumped on the wagon but theyre not Cardiff fans never will be.

:? No... where did you get that from? The people I am directing at are the ones that are literally buying tickets for next season and have never been before, just as they were at the Jacks. Only going to watch the other teams. As I said there will be a few but they will be a massive minority

Yes I'm 100% sure that there are fans out there who are accepting the rebrand for a taste of the Prem.

Of course they do, surely every fan wants the club to support to succeed? Do fans go to games hopeing we lose? I dont think so. Every fan wants the team to win games, win cups and progress.

but for some odd reason some fans seem to want to use that against other fans as a bad thing. Ive never gone to any game thinking cardiff city will lose (no matter who) or that I want them to lose.

If they set up Cardiff bluebirds afc or whatever would those fans be plastic for wanting the team to win and gain promotion

OMG it confuses me so much when people type in my quotes

For me it wasn't about the investment in players and the "100m" it was just about CCFC. People say it wasnt red or dead and I believe thats what Whitely said but I dont believe it, I couldnt see us managing without Tan.
Lets be honest no one wanted to pay the 2m to HMRC to stop us being liquidated so who would have paid the reported 2m a month other than Tan to keep us going.

I hate the red, hate the badge, love Cardiff City. I agree it isnt the same but for me its this or nothing, id never support a new club.
People have even said they would go to games as a neutral at CCS, ive done that with other clubs and it isnt the same as that feeling when City score be it in any colour.

I have waited all my life for Cardiff City FC to dine at the Top Table and it is so close I can feel it and why anyone would NOT want that is beyond me :?

But hey, as I keep getting told, each to his (or her) own and I am sure you all have your personal reasons for wanting City to fail in their quest :(

If that reason is the colour change then I simply say this (with total respect to those who have had the balls to walk away rather than threaten it ;) ) on the matter:

In the last 10 or so years Cardiff City FC has been on a roller coaster of emotions and success. We have (initially under Sam) survived near closure and risen from the depths of the old FOURTH Division, had the ecstacy of winning promotion to The Championship via the play-offs IN OUR OWN CITY, beaten the then Premiership leaders (Leeds Utd) in a game that is already in City Folklore, before almost going bankrupt again when the shrewd politicians of Cardiff and Wales refused to 'do business' with Sam before The Riddler came to the club AT SAM'S REQUEST

After Ridsdale's arrival the club were given permission to build our new stadium in an effort to make the club more sustaiable for the future and in an effort to set the foundations of a realistic assault on The Premiership. To be fair, like The Riddler or not, he alomost pulled it off with a wonderful trip to the FA Cup Final and a very near miss in the Play-Off Final the following year. Unfortunately, time and money ran out for him and the club were ON THE BRINK OF GOING UNDER in a similar fashion to FA Cup Winners Portsmouth

The choices?? Hmmm, I don't seem to remember many people GENUINELY (remember that prick from Jersey/Guernsey) coming forward in what was PROBABLY the biggest hour of need in our history (and we've had a few)

Then out of the sky (I nearly said BLUE :( ) came TG; a delightful little man with an empathy for Cardiff City FC because (in true Welsh tradition) we welcomed his son to our club, even if only for a 'trial' no-one else would give him. Fantastic :ayatollah:

He, in turn, got his 'boss' Vincent Tan involved and he (VT) said "OK, I'll come on board BUT I need something in return. I want The Riddler out and I want control of the club I am investing so much money in to keep it alive and take it forward to The Premiership". WE BIT HIS HANDS OFF (AND ONLY ONE OR TWOI CAN HONESTLY SAY DIFFERENT) IN THE CLAMOUR (a) to save our club from extinction, and (b) in the HOPE that he would deliver on his promises

To be fair, so far he has delivered on most of what he promised with the exception of the 'Debt to Shares' deal, although I am sure that will come once promotion is assured. The only downside had been the (unfortunate but understandable if you look at it from HIS point of view) decision to change the clubs colours from blue to red

Wher HE comes from it means something 'special' and TO HIM it makes the difference between 'backing' the club or not. Unfortunately, that (as owner) is his perogative and WE (the fans) have a simple choice, i.e. either RELUCTANTLY ACCEPT the changes and stay and SUPPORT the club/team or WALK AWAY (as some have done)

Personally, I am AGAINST the RED but 100 times more in favour of CARDIFF CITY FC, so I will still be there, as is my personal choice

Cardiff City's history is a very proud one but contains more 'downs' than 'ups' and we weren't always as 'happy' as some would suggest in 'the old days' and all the bleating and arguing in the world won't change anything in the forseeable future, so it's a simple choice, I'm afraid :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Ive been to a few random games, prob the best was Swansea v Bristol Rovers at the Vetch (away end) and it was a brill day esp all the rovers fans singing "swansea, swansea run, swansea run from Cardiff" but the goals against swansea where pleasing, more than enjoyed them  but no where near that feeling of city scoring :ayatollah:
