" Mark Hudson's injury(out for a long time) "

Fri Mar 15, 2013 9:45 am

15th March 2013.
I've just heard a little rumour/whisper that Mark Hudson was seen down the Vale yesterday in plaster and on crutches and he's out for the rest of the season, hence the rather swift action by MM in the transfer market yesterday.

As I said its only a whisper, and I certainly hope it's not true.

Cardiff City skipper Mark Hudson set for lengthy absence with ankle injury

By Terry Phillips Mar 17 2013

CARDIFF City’s new capture Leon Barnett believes he is on course for a promotion hat-trick as he looks set for a major role following Mark Hudson's latest injury.

Hudson is set to be out for at least three to four weeks with an ankle problem, meaning loan signing Barnett is likely to figure prominently in the skipper's absence.

City’s on-loan centre-back has twice gone up from the Championship into the Premier League, first with West Brom and then with Norwich.

And Barnett reckons he can make it third time lucky after an incredible weekend in which the Bluebirds, as well as Rob Howley’s Six Nations champions, emerged as the real winners.

City rediscovered their winning ways with a 2-0 triumph at Sheffield Wednesday and then saw their leading rivals slip up.

Hull were beaten at home by Nottingham Forest, Watford crashed at Barnsley and Crystal Palace were thumped 3-0 by Brighton.

The upshot is that the Bluebirds stand seven points clear of second-placed Hull, eight ahead of Watford and are 10 clear of Palace... and with a game in hand on the three of them.

Barnett said: “I see no reaswhy Cardiff won’t be promoted. This team is up there with the Albion and Norwich squads I was in. Actually, if anything, Cardiff have even more attributes.”

Hudson, meanwhile, may require surgery, with Mackay adding: “There is a complication and that’s something we are looking into,” said Mackay.

“There are conversations needed with our medical people and I can’t put a time scale on when Mark is back.

“It looks at least three or four weeks, but we still have to make decisions.”

Gaviar, Malky has also confirmed in the press conference that Hudson will be out for a couple of weeks at least..

Hudson has been on crutches and that is a fact.

The guy who broke the Barnett transfer says Hudson is out for a month, so probably be back for what? The Watford/Blackburn game?

Conway said on the night of Leicester game to me that he had a quick check on it after the game and said he could be out for 3 weeks max.. all depends on the scans he has had and that.

That he was Annis, sometimes we are too quick with the "shoot the messenger" syndrome. People only pass on what they pick up here and there.

Is he defiantly ruled out for the season?

I listened to MM's press conference and he said weeks on both Turner and Hudson

I was going on the available evidence I had, no crutches, on that machine no immediate motion issues. I didn't call anyone a liar.
