Ok he kicked instead of headed a chance but when he came on he did well and caused lots of problems for derby and he actually looked better in the air and on the ground and was much more of a threat than helguson..
Super Rudy Gestede
Wed Mar 06, 2013 1:47 am
Hes rubbish
Wed Mar 06, 2013 1:47 am
Alright. He's useless and should have won us the game.
But he didn't due to his poor technical ability.
Sprinting training? How about kicking training?
Wed Mar 06, 2013 7:32 am
He is far more of a threat than helger
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:25 am
He did cause problems when he came on but he's not good enough to start. As someone said though, for all of his endeavour, when it came down to that key moment he messed it up.
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:43 am
Gestede the only one to miss a shot is he

Not good enough to start but was better than helguson and we started to look better attacking..
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:45 am
He came on and did exactly what was intended - but what the hell was that chance about?!

Should have headed it

but he looked decent when he came on and won loads of headers and a few good passes into the box
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:51 am
He done well when he came on,but he always tries the hardest way instead of keeping it simple,he really should have buried the chance at the end
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:53 am
He may be crap but he put more effort in the last 10 minutes than Whittingham and Smith did in the whole time they were on the pitch.
Wed Mar 06, 2013 8:57 am
he is a donkey but last night he came on and did well, i was shocked
Wed Mar 06, 2013 9:32 am
He gave more than Heider last night but would Heider have tried to scissor kick that chance or would he just have nodded it in?
Rudy had a massive chance to win us the game and keep the shirt. He let it pass him by. Shame.
On to the next one

VICTORY

when we play against teams who attack us we tend to struggle, but when teams come and be defensive we tend to get the result..
derby were probably one of the worst teams to come to the ccs this yr yet they got a result..
the game yesterday reminded of last season and season before.. ball up in the air constantly, nobody to grab the game by the scruff, and not once did we string more than 3 passes together.. felt sorry for nugent as he was getting no vocal support from turner and he looked like a rabbit in the headlights..
as for rudy, he won numerous headers, so did helgueson, but then so did the derby front two... if we had played football, they wouldnt have been able to live with us...
why did we wait until 70 mins to make the first change?? kimbo should av been brought on to get the ball on the floor and play football..

Had he had 10 mins longer and we had played more direct we may have nicked it.
To many ineffective passes in the middle third. Sometimes you just stick it in there and when we did for the last 10. We looked most dangerous.

Agreed. There was a real lack of sharpness in our passing and we seemed to want one pass too many or the World Cup pass across the middle of the park.
I'm not a Rudy fan but the miss aside I thought he did well, as did HH until he went off.

He missed one chance for ffs.
Why don't we slate the other players who missed a chance?
He made a difference and there is no hiding that.
He should of been brought on earlier and we could of won the game imo.
The fans on this board are really stupid.

sorry mate, he really is not the answer, whenever we look to bring him on it singles out desperation and lump it up there....

if you watch chance he had on tv if hed put head on it he'd have probably lost his head as defenders boot was swinging at it, yes body on the line but if youd ever had studs in your face youd know why he didnt head ball

u cant think im not going to head the ball for fear of getting kicked in the face??

If lumping the ball into the box, hoping Rudy will "cause" problems is our tactic to get promoted then we dont deserve to go up.

Was you there we lumped it up to helguson from the first minute

We were lumping it up to hulguson from the first minute not just when Rudy came on

So what. Neither of them are the answer.

Well if its just about last nights game then its a pretty pointless point.
We didnt score after he come on and he missed the best chance we had for 3 points.

Or are we handing out praise just because he ran around for 10 minutes. Well done. Super stuff.

he looked good, but i agree with polo if our tactic is 50/60 yard balls up to helguson/gestede then we should be worried.

Should either have put Smith in the hole behind Campbell and started with Noone, or Mason instead of Helguson IMO.
The sooner Hudson is bacdk and he can tell Turner to f**k up with the long ball game the better.
