Blue or red

With so many wearing the red scarfs Tuesday,I'm not sure if it was because of the cold or because many people like it and have accepted it,how many people on here will say what colour you want, for a start I'm blue

Blue but willing to compromise on a mixed colour kit.

I trust VT has a real plan for us, so am happy to go with red :ayatollah: :malky:

BLUE

The only reason most wore scarves was to try to win a season ticket. If they given out Blue scarves it would have been a sea of blue.

Re: Blue or red

It will be interesting to see if anyone wears their red scarf to anymore games.

On reflection , I think all this proves is that everyone loves a freebie , as you say if it was blue scarves it would of been a sea of blue.

I've decided now to draw a line under the re brand now , I want blue but we are not atm , I just want to enjoy the rest of the season now , if I keep moaning about red it's not going to change. I will wear blue every game from now on and just enjoy the usual roller-coaster ride of Cardiff City the Bluebirds

If you do nothing, then things definitely will not change. If you do something, then their is a chance it may. The longer we stay in red and do nothing then the more likely it is that we will see the end of the Bluebird, red seats in the stadium, a change of name etc. The change of colour was just the beginning.

It's as simple as that.

Agreed. If we don't try then there will be no chance of blue coming back.

Why? That seems pretty personal to me and you're not asking anyone else the same question.

Is it just because I'm not going with the majority on this mb?

Tan doesn't have a real plan for 'us'. He has a real plan for his personal bank account.

I've never said his plan revolves around a love of the club - of course he wants to make something out of it for himself - any business man would.

My reading of the situation is that he's not somebody to do something on a whim - that's not the way to be succesful in business - my guess (and it's only that) is that either (i) he has someone behind the scenes who will invest a lot more, but dependent upon the change to red or (ii) his plans are to make us massive in the Chinese market himself and he has worked out that's it's vital that we turn to red to achieve this.

Otherwise, the whole thing makes no sense, as why potentially alienate your home market if there's nothing to achieve by it? If he'd wanted to simply invest in football, but was that keen on red, he could have bought a red team.

In my view, he's seen the potential in CCFC, the fact that the Welsh symbol is a dragon fits in with his plans, and turning to red will allow one of the above two scenarios to be achieved (or something very much like them).

Could I be wrong? Of course I could be - but we all have to make judgments on the facts we have, and that is my genuine appraisal of the situation. If I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it, but time will tell.

What I am however completely convinced of is that without VT we'd be in a similar position to Portsmouth, and I am therefore prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. Coupled with that, I can't quite work out why something like a colour is so important to people - but that may be just me, and I fully respect the views of others who clearly differ with me, but what i can't do is artificially try and pretend that I feel the same way myself, as I just don't.

To answer your point, I accept VT is ultimately doing this for his own benefit (I'm not by nature naive), but in order to gain an advantage for himself he has to make us succesful as well, and that's good enough for me.

I would judge any future changes on an individual basis, if any actually take place.

I'm certainly not going to take a view at this juncture on what may be malicious rumours done to attempt to discredit and destabilise the club we both love.

If however any of these rumours are genuine, then I will take a view on each one at the time the club reveals them.

Yes they are all rumours, but if these rumours did come true, don't you think that's fans accepting red in the first place, has led tan to believe he can change anything he wants at our club ,without any regard to how the true fans actually feel about it

But if the majority of fans want to support the changes, why can that not be accepted?

I think there is something inherently elitist in the way that you use the word "true fans" there, as if those of us who take a different view are not "true fans".
