The club are stopping shareholders sell their shares

Sat Feb 23, 2013 11:30 am

As many of you know I have agreed with a present shareholder that I would purchase shares off him. However because its a closed door system he will require board permission to sell his shares and after almost two months have passed and their promises of sending out the paperwork and other administration tasks are constantly being broken.

If anyone fromthe club is reading this can you get this issue sorted because the seller has done everything possible to get this sorted yet the club are pulling every stunt to make sure that he can't sell them.

Bit of a misleading headline.
Should say I'm trying to buy shares but don't know what I'm doing.

No not at all. I don't really care if I get them one way or another tbh but the person selling the shares is wanting to cash in on them but the club is stopping him. FACT

Alan Whitely and many others have known about this because they all started corresponding but since Whitely was moved from his post the clubs promises have been broken time and time again.

well I already had a buyer lined up who was going to buy them for double the price. But its dragging on so long its become a timewasting excerise now and it has left the orginial seller out of pocket.

How am I acting as an agent if it will be my name against the shares for a period of time ? Anyway I have just had word that the original seller (who is a well known name and a member of this forum) has sent a 'strongly worded letter' to the club yesterday. Please note that is his words and not mine

your front running mate IT IS AGAINST THE LAW, YOU COULD GO TO PRISON, THE CLUB COULD GET IN TROUBLE, THATS WHY THEY WILL NOT SELL THE SHARES.

No your buying them so you can sell them for double the price, that means you have already pre-determined a sell before youve bought. The only reason your buying them is because you know the price will double, thats called front running its illegal.

Yes but there's a period of time which would lapse anyway. Stop trying to make you something which you clearly agent. If you thought that I haven't spoken to my accountant about this before this issue started then you are crazy!!!

Go away! Nobodys interested in anything you have to say anymore. Bored of hearing you're always the victim. If you want answers or have a gripe speak to the relevant people at the club and stop clogging up this board with your drivel.

Watching a snail crawl across my garden for 10 hours is more interesting than your posts you sulking blubber guts.

What stupid sod has decided to buy the shares at double the price, if vt buys over a certain percentage of shares then he can buy all the other shares at the price he paid for his own, the guy who bought at double will be lucky to get a quarter for his shares, and he has to sell to VT, he will have an option under company law

Sounds like a bargain, get someone else to buy the shares for you, then pay twice the price for the privilege, sounds like a sound business plan to me.
