Those against the rebrand

Mon Feb 18, 2013 4:59 pm

Many called fans who are not bothered by the rebrand sell outs and soul sellers that only care about premiership football?
But you will all be there watching premiership football wont you or you all gonna make a stand and not attend in protest ?
Happy to call fans names but the same time getting season tickets for next season Hypocrites..

It's not really hypocrtical though, is it?

Supporting the team doesn't mean you have to support the rebrand.

Blue Tuesday is the first real opportunity for a meaningful, non-disruptive show of displeasure without having any impact on the support for the players

A massive generalisation there. Many of us are against the rebrand, yet haven't resorted to calling people sell outs etc.

Make a stand and protest? That's another one full of double standards! Prime example: -

Dave Sugarman, a well respected fan with many years of following the City - he makes a stand and stops going - many fans tell him that he now cannot have an opinion as he is no longer a fan.

Those who are against, but still go? Well. We are hypocrites etc who don't support the club blah blah blah..

Can't win can we?

Myself? I feel that if you are against the way the club is being run, you can still enjoy the football and watching the team.

Lets be honest, if my ST wasn't bought by me, someone else would pick it up and I wouldn't be missed. Me still being an active part of the club qualifies me to have an opinion on the running of it.

A team playing in red which some are supposed to detest or is it when it suits?
What if we play in red for another 20 years will people still be moaning and still attending or will they just get on with it or stop going cause they hate it so much?

I hate the rebrand, never going to buy a red shirt but i'm not going to stop going unless something drastic happens. Cardiff City is just something I can't turn away from

Haven't been down much this season due to having my nipper on a Saturday - nice waste of this year's season ticket!! (going tomorrow though and got another 5 midweek games to enjoy before the end of season) :malky:

Thought the rebrand issue had been done to death? I'm not bothered either way to be honest..I've watched them, season ticket in hand for 15 years+, and I'm just glad to see the team performing well on a regular basis. It's just typical of my life that this season when we are flying is the first season I've not seen much of them!

You've got to hand it to Tan mind, whatever you think of him & what he has done....He certainly has put his money where his mouth went, and it seems to be we are reaping the rewards. He hasn't unlike some mouthy chairman, promised their manager & fans the world and delivered sweet FA (Weeds, Florest etc..)

Looking good, can't wait to go tomorrow...6 more wins (starting with one tomorrow and we should be up!) :ayatollah:

But they are Paul by continuing to support it financially, I have more respect for those that walked away out of principle, but those that moan and call others sell outs, yet do exactly the same as the ones they accuse of selling out make my blood boil.
Mind you, some have taken the massive step of not buying programmes, so at least they are doing something positive.

Fair enough in terms of the moaners & name callers. As we discussed before Charlton though, most don't support the rebrand but will accept it if the club is going to benefit and kick on a level.

What about the arseholes who claimed people who accepted or didn't let the rebrand bother them were selling their souls for premiership football?
But these same people who despise the team playing in red who watch them playing in red in the premiership are no diferent to the so called sell outs..
Everyone would love to go back to blue but it isnt gonna happen for quite awhile..
I dont let the rebrand bother me but if it did that much i'd stop going as i wouldnt pay hundreds of quid to watch something i detested and didnt enjoy..
