I guess you didn't go to Macclesfield then? Velikonja isn't ready yet, I believe he still needs a lot of work.

I fail to see to use that as an example of how he ent ready.

I'll trust Malky on this one but he certainly knows where the goal is with the right service

He couldn't be any worse than Gestede was on Saturday.

Didn't say he wasn't, but I can't recall one ball delivered into him, that was below head height!

Not the only reason. Lazy, doesn't go for the ball.

Can't agree about the lazy bit and if he doesn't go for the ball, how did he win the ball in the air?![]()
He must have been embarrassed when the ball hit him on the back on Saturday though!

It was a different world between him and Bellers.
Craig would chase down any loose ball, Rudy wouldn't even break into a jog.

If you're expecting a 6' 4" centre forward to run around like Bellers, then you're going to be disappointed every time!
FFS, we've only got McNaughton and possibly Cowie who can get anywhere near him!

As I've just said, I'd expect a 24 year old professional footballer to do more than jog about and actually chase the ball.

You'll have to get your stop watch out and time him then, as I certainly don't think he runs around any slower than Helguson does, even allowing for Heidur's 35 years!

May e not, but Helguson actually contributes to the team.
Clearly you're a Gestede fan & I'm not. Simple.

I'm a fan of anybody who pulls on a Cardiff City shirt and able to qualify my statements!
I've already stated that Rudy was poor on Saturday, but I've been to all our home games since Rudy arrived and I've seen a big improvement in his overall play in many of those games, especially at Leicester and home to Millwall!
I've also stated in this thread, that he may well not be the answer to our long term ambitions, but I can't understand anybody who supports us, who repeatedly state that he's shit (not directed at you specifically), without actually trying to qualify their statements!
Many people criticised his performance on Saturday (me included in this thread), so tell me what Mason or Helguson did to improve us when they came on?

Mason came on and did little. I feel that he was used unfairly. If we were to bring on Mason, we should have started playing it on the floor and not lumping it up, that's not going to work without A target man.
Helguson didn't have much time to make an impact, so to be critical of him would be unfair, yet I feel that he should not be leading our line alone.
We are in desperate need of a striker. Would love to see what Maynard would be doing right now.

You're entitled to your opinion and he may well be slow, but personally, I don't think he's lazy!
With regards to the rest of your post though, this is virtually what I was saying earlier, Mason had the ball lumped up to him and did nothing, Helguson had the ball lumped up to him and did nothing (accept your point about him not having much time), yet everybody has a go at Rudy who had to deal with the same poor service as Mason & Helguson!
Whoever plays up front for us, needs to have the ball played in to them at a lower height, so that it gives them a chance to be able to control the ball, hold it up and bring other players into the game, which is what Rudy did at Leicester!
It's no good launching the ball 8 or more feet into the air and expecting anybody to be able to control the ball, like Rudy, Mason & Helguson were expected to do on Saturday, a point which a lot of people on here have missed!
