Here's a brave title - Swansea would murder us...

Sat Jan 12, 2013 6:35 pm

FACT...

If we go up, we'd obviously strengthen the team. But, current form, and style of play we would get smashed by the Jacks.
If there's one team, I'd love us to play like, it's Swansea.... And it kills me to say it as I despise them.

Stating the obvious if anything, this is a non point, most fans know this.

We played Ipswich who were worse than Wednesday, and couldn't even get a goal. Shocking.

Although we are lucky results around us went our way again, are we getting LUCKY?

Oh god no. Would hate to play like Swansea.

It's alright for some but give me fast wingers crossing into the box over a slow passing game any day of the weak.

We are getting lucky, we haven't deserved to a win game for a long time. Nice to see there are more realists on here than I thought. Malky certainly talks a good game but he's no where near on the same level as DJ and that is a FACT.

Off course the Jacks would ruin us, they have an excellent manager for starters.

Would they really? In my opinion, malkay would have us well up for a game against our main rivals, we would see bodies being put on the line. They would go into the game as favourites, but they wouldn't murder us.

The same wednesday that are beating hull? Ipswich are a lot better than there position in the table suggests! Good point for us today in my opinion, after a long break

Oh sorry I forgot you just put ten men behind the ball and wait for their centre backs to pass to your forwards

Yes of course we would! Just like we murdered you in the season when we got promoted to the old first division. You remember the game dont you? It's the one when Peter Kitchen equalised for you. And in the same season where you were 1-3 down at your place and came back to 3-3 with 'that' goal from Buchannan? One thing is for sure, you may struggle if you go up. But nothing is ever for sure in a local Derby! ;)

Stating the obvious a bit... even if we were on top form they'd still beat us.

Oh the chelsea game you are referring to last wednesday, and if it had been cardiff that were playing instead of swansea, would cardiff of gone all out and attacked them, if so they would of been hammered, like most teams including swansea so you must have a plan B. After all chelsea are the european champions, and didn't they put ten men behind the ball when they beat barcelona that's right is called PLAN B. :o

Without incurring the wrath of my fellow SCFC posters on here,I don't think we'd murder you at all.I think we'd finish higher than you.no problem, but a derby is a derby and no one will get tonked. We've played Southampton at their place and they got automatic last season and we were lucky to get a draw.

What's happening on this thread is the OP is obviously frustrated at todays result and the only way he can express his feelings enough is by saying CCFC would get murdered by the Jacks.Fair enough.

We'd beat you at the Lib but like 100 years before we wouldn't do the double no matter how good Michu and co are.

A sensible jack quote

you jacks are obviously head and shoulders above us at the moment, but never underestimate the underdog when it comes to a derby, especially a derby like ours. Yor the top dogs now, but under malky, he would have us bang up for it, to try course an upset. One thing I'm sure about.. It wouldn't be "JUST ANOTHER GAME" under malkay, like dave jones tried to make out it was. We would defo raise our game.

You can't deny you play a slow passing game in general.

Admittedly this season it's been a bit more adventurous, and shall I say watchable?, than it was last season but the amount of times I've seen you play and it goes 30 odd passes in the midfield and defence before someone tackles a player in midfield and you lose the ball it's just maddening.

That doesn't just go for your passing game btw, I've tried watching Barcelona and fallen asleep due to the tippy tappy in midfield.

In a local derby anything can happen other factors come into play, so saying swansea would beat cardiff is a bit misleading, i would rather say we have a better team at the moment, which is true. :)

If you fall asleep when Messi,Iniesta and Xavi are playing you might want to try a different sport.

To be honest I was quite tired that day

It was a particularly poor El Classico and I think it was 0-0 where they were cancelling eachother out.

I don't think swansea play a slow passing game, if you saw the goal against wba last season 20 plus passes before we scored, if barcelona had scored that goal they would say what a fantastic goal, nothing slow about it.

Well it's slower than kick and rush anyways :D

Don;t get me wrong I can appreciate what Swansea do on a purely technical level but it's not something that would excite me going to watch a match.

No point being bitter I spent the first 24 years of my life hating swansea, nowa days they aren't even welsh players apart from williams who is a c**t they play there football in swansea but are english/foreign. so apart from the vile fans,
I admire the footballing team, other than jack twats williams and tate.

merlin is right though I'm concerned for cardiff city, and malky's sentimental harmony crap, ... theirs no place for friendships in the premier league, its all about money wealth and future market value

You're not one of the football pundits who say "Swansea fans are privileged to watch this team play week in week out", then are you. You are envious of our success though, as I would be, if the boot was on the other foot. Even the Wall Street Journal loves us! http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... lenews_wsj

At the end of the day, its playing like that, that has taken us from 92nd to 9th in ten years. Not to mention financial stability, where, for some games this season, we have over ten million pounds worth on the bench! :D

All that said, the title of this thread is a wind up. I would not take for granted the result of any game between the Swans and the Bluebirds.
