We will finish third

Sat Jan 12, 2013 5:49 pm

Happy with a point in the normal circumstances but the rebrand has added to expectations. We did not play well today and we haven't at home for a long time, lets not dress it up we have been average at best. I still believe we are going up but not automatically, I fear Leicester. Off course, with Malkys stubborness and inept tactical knowledge anything is possible.

It's not like you to knee jerk

I can't make out if you're always on a wind up or you're as seriously uneducated about the game as you portray

Knee jerk? I have been saying this for months. We aren't play well at home, take your rose tinted spectacles off. I still believe we are going up.

It's not good enough Steve. We should be promoted by now beating everyone 4 and 5-0

I blame the shirts

To right tony I would have at least expected us to have the best home record in the country with our new lucky red shirts. Oh hang on a minute

Agree about Leicester - looking strong and scoring lots of goals  Our players seem off form Whitts free kicks and corners are poor, our wingers cant get to the by-line,keep cutting back inside.stikers not scoring enough.Central defenders just lumping the ball up front and hoping for flick ons.Marshall is the only one who is consistant.

I stand by what I said last week people like rudy could have done with 90 minutes against Macclesfield
Some of the players looked like they had lost their edge today

Yeah if we corrected all that, who knows? We might even be top of the league!

i fear we will get relegated... the red is just not lucky enough... i dont know what tan was thinking... the dragon is also really scary looking which is probably why people are staying away.... malky out because he played rudy who cant even spell sheet properly... i mean how can we expect him to win us games when he cant even spell properly... bad management.... im absolutely fuming... might start a trend on twitter now... i cant take it anymore ... my beloved club losing one game at home all season and winning all the rest... WHY HAVEN'T WE WON THEM ALL? OMFG.. HAVE TO LOG OFF BEFORE I DO SOMETHING INSANE. BYE.

It's good enough for third, take your "In Malky we trust" bollocks and shove it up your arse. We haven't been playing well. We haven't deserved to win the majority of our last 6 or 7 home games but through luck and maybe determination we have come out the victors. Shits about to hit the fan unless Malky rejuvenates the squad.

Iv'e been saying it for weeks, we are in a false positions through luck and determination.

We've beaten everyone of the top 7. That's not rose tinted specs, that's a fact - and an unprecedented extremely impressive fact. Some people are genuinely too thick for words. If Palace win 2 on the bounce they'll go up, or Hull or now I've read we should have bought Chris Wood because he's had a decent start at Leicester. Once they start dropping points again, which they will soon, the same posters will then forget about them and concentrate on Brighton who just won two on the bounce

The culture of negativity amongst some of our"fans"is depressing

Agreed. Had fans at half time on Twitter going mad slating players and some of them giving Malky stick. Some obviously forget the position we currently lie in. We did not get there by miracle.

You thought Dave Jones was taking Wednesday up after they won three on the bounce in August. You're the biggest reactionary on the forum. It's got to be a wind up or you really are an old geezer with early signs of dementia

Re: We will finish third

Chris Wood scored 11 goals for Millwall before he went to Leicester he's no flash in the pan. And for you to call the REALISTS on here negative is astounding and endemic of some of our fans wholehearted reliance on Malky.

DJ could do no right, but Malky can do no wrong. Same tired faces who slated DJ time and time again are probably the ones firmly up Malkys backside.

I was a big fan of DJ and stuck by him until the end. He should have had the chance to take us up but was always hindered by losing players like Roger Johnson and Glenn Loovens. That's history now. You can't compare Malky and Jones though. Malky has the backing and as I think it was Jack Nicklaus once said

"The more I win, the luckier I seem to get"

Dave Jones never had that luxury

Finally something we agree on.

I'll bump this thread. albeit reluctantly when we finish out of the top two.

I thought DJ was a cracking manager, done well, very very well considering he had to get rid of anyone decent in the team.

But you cant keep getting close like he did and not take the final step, esp with the performaces that the team showed in his last year in the final 2 months.

Teams will take points of anyone in this league, its been proved all season.

Ipswich with Mick in charge are always going to be no push overs despite what the league table shows.

I want to go on record with my predictions half way through the season:

Cardiff to Win the league (comfortably)

How anyone cant think at this stage we arent firm favourites to win the league is beyond me!

Malky Mackay is a loose cannon, it's down to him to sort it out tactically and bring in a player to drive us home. We only need ONE quality signing, we are favourites but like I said i'd be far more comfortable with DJ at the helm in this position.

but WHY!?

Cardiff have been known to bottle it every year with DJ at the helm, i'm much more comfortable with Malky in charge,
I would say we needed 2 players - full back and a striker (preferably on loan)

Only an utter imbecile would be more comfortable with a notorious choker at the helm when your team are 10 points clear at the top.

Step up, 1948

Remind me what position we were in this time last year and where we ended up? Remind me what happened in the play off semi finals? Remind us what happened last week after going up 1-0 against a non league side. Again, remind us what happened at the Valley this season.

Then come back to us and tell me who the choker is.
