fao swansealad69 and jacks

Do you feel the current swansea team has surpassed the Toshack era when you rose to prominence in the old 1st Division. Before it collapsed there was a great team there with Bob Latchford, kennedy, etc etc, however do you think the current team are better than the golden generation.

Yep.Toshack's team was built on a bed of sand. The current side and infrastructure is built on a far more solid and stable base.

Just been listening to Talksport and the smoke being blown up our arses is getting a tad embarrassing now.Apparently,we're the blueprint for every club that plays football.Hard to disagree too.

What, rip off your creditors and then start afresh?

Funny that the general public don't talk about that story, eh?

Cardiff would have done the same, every football club is run by a heartless b*stard lets not beat around the bush here, ask Pompey.

Doesn't matter - my point being is that everyone bangs on about how well run it is, conveniently missing out that key point. :ayatollah:

It is an extremely well run club now! I'll use Blackburn as an example, they were for a time one of the best ran clubs in the country, a local owner and a real community feel to the club. Nowadays it's a f*cking joke, does it mean it's a poorly ran club?

You can't deny Huw Jenkins good work, your being hugely bitter. I rarely defend the Jacks but at risk of sounding like Roathy I feel this is a just cause.

No,it's only you that bangs on about 'that key point'.I never hear it anywhere else other than on here. It's called clutching at straws.Get over it,you'll be up here next season with us enjoying it all.Don't spoil it with bitterness 8-)

No for the umpteenth time you are wrong, when will you accept the error of your ways. The Jacks treated some people awfully back in the day, nowadays it's a different story and they deserve credit for that.

Yes from what I have seen Huw Jenkins has been very astute and there seems to be a style of football built upon by various managers no doubt this is how Jenkins wants the game to be played and has drafted in managers of the same mindset. The stadium seems to have been handled better than out lot !!! lol still lets hope we go up and get the derby back on !!! :ayatollah:

No, I'm not. The account I recap was indeed fact, not fiction.

Of course, seeing as you're supposedly old, I'm not surprised you have forgotten.

This is the attitude I admire. I want to see us play the Jacks again. Stop all the bitterness and jealously. It astounds me the likes of Chuckles on here always having a go when clearly they are punching far beyond their weight. I still see the Wurzels as ours main rivals though.

But it had a different owner. A football club cannot rip people off, people rip people off.

Since their new owners have come in they are a model that every club should aspire to be. Looking at how it was run a decade ago under different regime is pointless to combat the point how well it is being run under the new regime.

If you say so.But really,it's so 20 odd years ago it's a weak point.Crack on though if it gives you something to cling onto.

And do you honestly think we care now?

It's fact isn't it?

So, By your reckoning, you can't criticise Cardiff's financial situation because it was previous owners?

The current owners have landed more debt with Cardiff than any of the others. The wage bill is now 110% of income. Probably the highest it's been in history.

Who's criticizing Cardiff's finances?? You said similar to me last night on here when i hadn't said nothing of the sorts. You seem to be tarring us all with the same brush.Either that or you're struggling and inventing things i've said.I think it's the latter.

I have no idea what you are talking about, what story FFs?

I said you can't criticise the exemplary way the club is run by looking at the mistakes of past owners.

Cardiffs debt has worsened with every owner you plum.
