Looking at the big picture though, it was vital for Wales to have a showpiece city.
It's ok for Newport as Cardiff is only 10 miles down the road and 10 minutes on the train.
I can see why Swansea get jealous and resentful though as they have to travel a lot further if they need something that isn't sold in Matalan or Primark.
