exactly.a grass is another criminal who snitches on another criminal.or a football lad who grasses his firm members up to the ob to save his backside.i doubt the people who gave evidence are football lads .they would be just fans.anyway a act of cowerdice like this deserves to be reported to the ob by anyone.couldn,t imagine any real zulu attacking a scarfer .nor any lad or ex lad on here to be honest.if a lad cannot go to a game and leave in peace there is something wrong with the world

Polo get your facts right it wasnt from behind, and the lad was a big c**t chopsing off. Yes in a shirt but if your giving it your going to get it.

Wrong, the lad wasn't a "big" lad, just a young kid wearing a BC shirt. I didn't witness the actual incident itself, but me & the Mrs walk past him a minute or so later, & it looked like he was bleeding from the back of his head.

Wrong he was bleeding from his arm and the front of his head

Were you there when it happened?

I was. And the fact is that a young Bristol City supporter minding his own business and walking along Sloper Road with his father was the victim of a cowardly attack by someone purporting to be a Cardiff supporter.I say "purporting" because because his actions do the club or decent fans no favours at all).

There was no "chopsing off" and ordinary, decent CCFC fans did the right thing in making sure the attacker was caught by the police and prosecuted. When he was caught he suddenly seemed to lose his bravado in front of his mates.

well Jeff the zulus certainly left their mark on a young lad nearly thirty years ago. He was a very small lad from Stafford who followed Everton. We used to bump into him regularly and have a drink on the train . Three black zulus On a train near Brum Carved him right up. I mean grabbed his hair smashed his face into the table and slashed him right across the bottom of his back, held his arms and cut his forearms and even slashed his neck a bit. I remember looking at the fresh scars. Nasty. The lad was no fighter either. Mmmmmmm

.... Yes Jeff not having a go at the brummies in particular, most of the old firms had barbaric characters . I even remember a train load of spurs, having a tear up with each other with one having his back opened up . Ffs.

Blades and maiming were very much part of some of the big city firms of old. Very bad and dangerous as anyone could have been caught out.
In today's world who knows but it doesn't seem in vogue at the moment.
As to the Sloper Road incident that would be in a totally different league. I was pretty close by and whilst I didn't see the actual incident, the bristol lad was 'mouthing off' and was pretty foolish to have done so in amongst a home crowd.

blues had a few blade merchants i know that much.what little bit i was around i was with lads who wern,t known for it.my mates from where i live.they knew some of the really old lads.lads who would be 50 plus now.i think a lot of lads liked the buzz of running people or a bit of a scrap.then there were were those who were hell bent on causing maximum damage to anyone in there way.a leeds lad got opened up i remember hearing.thankfully i wasn,t there.i,m into peace and love these days :D always thought spurs got mugged off by people in the 80,s .top firm no doubt about it.they still keen now i hear.

.... Yes sometimes its best not to give it the big un when your surrounded. To be honest some of the shirters are right gobby fookers, thinking cos they are wearing a shirt they are exempt from a bashing. Weve got our share. However if this lad was twatted for nothing its out of order

CY, it's certainly true that with a more relaxed atmosphere around grounds these days there is a tendancy for some of the younger fans in particular to take liberties (ours included). Unfortunately at some point they are bound to come unstuck. In my opinion many of our younger fans trade on past reputation and having not done the hard yards are heading for a fall at some point.
In the Sloper Road incident the bristol lad was very definately chancing his arm. If he had kept his gob shut there would not have been an incident. Even so even less than 5 years ago it would have been just one of those things.

The most scared i've ever been at a football match following the Jacks was St.Andrew 1989.Knives by f**k  The journey from New St. Station was a fans nightmare and all we seen was flashing blades and 'fancy a swordfight'.Yeah, like f**k :? Once in the ground the bank next to us,which was far too close for my liking decided to riot and all you could see was coppers helmets flying back and fore.At h/t the chairman,Mr.Kumar i think it was came out with a microphone and tried to pacify them but that made it worse cos they were rioting because of him ffs  It was probably the only time ever i wasn't too bothered to lose. And the journey(taxi) back to New Street wasn't any better as Sunderland were coming in after just being at West Brom and Brum had mobbed up at New.Street.More knives again and 8 of us found ourselves hiding under the tables of a train bound in the opposite direction to where we were going. What an experience though and any other trip i've been on since has been a stroll in the park.
