" GREAT DAY, GREAT RESULT, OUR SUPPORT "

Sat Dec 22, 2012 6:54 pm

On our way back, great trip on the bus yet again.

Dave Cannon, forum bus regular, flies to Australia next week for a year as part of his teaching. Thanks to Thomas Fish (organising a collection) and Steve Troobloo (collecting the Carling Cup Final shirt), we managed to get the shirt signed by Malky as a gift off the lads for Dave.

The City support was loud today and we sold 2112 (without counting those sold on the day).

That was a massive result for us today, not just because it was Leicester but yet again Malky's team bounced straight back from a previous defeat. That is where Malky gains massive respect from me, his teams just don't go on a run of defeats.

Today was a professional performance, we could have scored a couple more but there again Leicester also had their chances but the players didn't panic, they stuck to the game plan and got the result.

Knowing we will be top on Christmas Day is a great feeling, lets get behind the boys and give everything we possibly can from here on in.

Correct Carl, Malky bounces straight back from when ever we get a defeat or a shock defeat, where as in the previous years DJ would go on terrible runs without a plan B.

Malky"s Blue and White Army :ayatollah:

In Malky I believe, WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE AND OUR FANS ARE FINALLY BELIEVING WE CAN DO IT, 51 YEARS WE HAVE WAITED. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Just so sad we are not doing it with our own identity.

Give it a rest mate! That was a superb day today, after the noise and passion the support showed in the second half, it brought it home how little the re brand actually means, it was just like the old days :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
It was the first time this season that I felt that the old feelings were back and how foolish those loyal supporters who cannot accept the re brand and no longer support the club truly are.

The singing was superb at Blackburn and it reminded me how passionate we were, that passion seems to be returning. :ayatollah:

No I wont give it a rest, I will say how I feel when I like, like your allowed your opinion, yes its great football and we are deservedly top of the league, but to me, if we had our identity it would mean more to me, maybe not to you, thats you, but to me it would and you nor no one will tell me to give it a rest, in future ignore my posts if you dont like reading how I still feel and always will do.I still go and will be at Birmingham on New Years day supporting them,I will renew my season ticket if we dont go up as I have done for 40 Consecutive seasons before, but I still cant help how I feel, its my home town club.

A lot of the chants and singing was from our younger generation of fans, they get a bit of stick on here ,accused of being plastic etc,but in my opinion it just shows that the future is bright
If we get promoted this club will go from strength to strength :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Great day out and well worth the drive throught the flood plains of mid wales.
All the smoke by the bar at half time was like going back to a pub in the 80s

The atmosphere at full time was as good as I can ever remember. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It was an amazing day, even when every player had gone in and most Leicester fans had gone, we were still there bouncing around having fun, the place erupted when we scored

One of the best away trips for many a year. Great support, great win. Against a pretty useful team. We were due to beat them in the league up there :ayatollah:
