I don't think this will be the team, given BBM's comments after the game.
But I'd go with:
Trott
Ng Fish Osho Scanlon
Robertson Bielik
Tanner Moylan Ashford
Robinson

Don't personally think Robinson can start for us it just doesn't seem to work. For me same team as Tuesday (Fish for Lawlor presuming he's injured) but take Joel out and drop either Beilek or Turnbull next to Robertson

Stick with what worked against Watford, was Moylan a false 9?

Joel Colwill for Robinson with Moylan upfront.
Bagan for Scanlon.

Same team Moylan has to start up top, his movement is fantastic and exactly what we need.
I would drop Ng for Scanlon. Ng was poor last night.

Think we will need lots of legs in midfield saturday so id go
Trott
Ng fish osho bagan
Tanner bielik Robertson ashford
J.colwill
Moylan

Surely Beilik has to come in he has been brilliant . Why ???

I put him in the team I posted, but in midfield.
I agree that he should come in somewhere because he's done well since signing.

Same team worth Bielek in for Lawlor I think he will go with. I would like fish for Lawlor and bielek for Joel to make us more solid and allow Robertson more freedom forward
Wed Oct 14, 2026 6:56 pm
We have been dreadful away - too open. Let's get Bielik hopefully he can be our Rodri and sense the danger in midfield. Put Tanner on the bench.
Wed Oct 14, 2026 7:15 pm
Fish can't start, the second game after a layoff needs to be managed
NG has been terrible lately, but he knows the system, so I'd stick. Not in love with the idea of Beilek in midfield; he is a ball-playing centre-half rather than a midfielder, so I'd partner with Osho in the usual back 4.
I can't believe i am saying this but with no defensive-biased midfielder. I'd play Turnbull next to Robertson. He won't wander as much as Ashord and Joel.
Tanner, Joel, and Ashford as the attacking midfielder, with Moylan as the CF
The bench should start seeing some name back, so that will be good to see

Why on earth would you put Tanner on the bench?

Without we hate Tanner , let's be honest the wingers have been a liability away from home. Happy to pick any other winger. But I thought Ashford was working with Moylan in a striker role.

You lost me at the start. Have you actually watched a game? Obviously you just hate Tanner for some reason, did he steal your girlfriend ?

Stick to the false 9. Focus on keeping a clean sheet, anything else is a bonus. We will make chances but need to tighten up big time.
Wed Oct 14, 2026 8:08 pm
My view is that dropping Tanner right after he's had a confidence boosting game would be the worst thing to do.

Yes, he and Ashford worked well; they switched positions and caused havoc, leaving more space for Tanner as well. Keep it as close to Tuesday's team as possible, probably with Bielik in for Lawlor, since Fish isn't ready yet.

Without being childish like yourself, we all can see we are too open especially away. That is why I said we need Bielik in Midfield. Clearly a player needs to come out of the team and a winger would be my answer. As Ashford is now coming into the new role , that is why I said Tanner as sub.

I think Moylan has to start the same position as the Watford game. He attacked the line, got the defenders turning and scored a brace. When he went off and Ashford went up top, there was no movement at all. We were passing along the pitch looking for openings which he wasn’t creating.
It will be tough and think we should start
Trott
Scanlon, Fish, Osho, Bagan
Robertson, Bielik
Tanner, J Colwill, Ashford
Moylan
Assuming Scanlon is comfortable switching sides.

What on earth? No Tanner should play all the time he creates loads. If proof was ever needed that he's the team scapegoat.

We are not expected to get anything in boro and I honestly think ng has been of the boil lately trott osho bielek fish bagan Robertson j colwil tanner Ashford scanlon moylan .....
Thu Oct 15, 2026 10:12 am
Gk Trott
Rb Ng
CB Fish
CB Osho
LB Bagan
6 Robertson
8 J. Colwill
RW Tanner
10 Ashford
9 Moylan
RW Scanlon
That would be my team for the weekend!
This has nothing to do with Willock's antics with the penalty on Tuesday, I just think Scanlon starting will give us a bit more protection from set plays and also give us a much better option on the counter-attack with his pace.
Moylan and Ashford looked excellent together mid-week, so I definitely wouldn't change that pairing.
Behind them, J. Colwill and Robertson in the engine room gives us heaps of energy.
Ng was really poor on Tuesday night, but we don't have an other option.
Hopefully, we see Rubin on the bench to come on and impact the game in the second half.
Thu Oct 15, 2026 6:04 pm
I think we should stick to the starting line up with Watford
Dont change a winning team
Of course due to injury Fish would replace Lawlor alongside Osho
And I keep Joel Colwill starting in midfield with Moylan up front
And I would keep Bagan playing since he played amazing against Watford
Could try Kpakio instead of Perry NG who struggled against Watford
My starting Line-Up
Trott
Kpakio Fish Osho Bagan
Tanner Robertson J.Colwill Willock
Moylan & Isaak Davies
Thu Oct 15, 2026 8:30 pm
Moylan played striker , the best we got at the club - no doubt
We got the win we were desperate for . I fear for us now until the international break , it’s a tough run coming up.
See where we are then I guess . Long season ahead
Thu Oct 15, 2026 10:40 pm
I would like to see:
Trott
Ng Fish Osho Bagan
Robertson Bielik
Tanner JC Ashford
Moylan
... and would be interested to see Scanlon in for Ng (although it's a L->R switch for Scanlon). Ng has looked sluggish. Bielik can drop into a back 5 and bring it out as a #6.

Same team v Watford, Bielik for Lawlor. It worked so see how it goes into the next game.
