Joe Ralls - top guy

Joe Ralls is a member of my local gym in Farnham, near Aldershot. I saw him there a few times before deciding to pluck up the courage to introduce myself have a chat.

It was one Saturday match day morning when I was wearing my lime green/blue Cardiff city sweatshirt before the trek down the boring M4 to the CCS. The sweatshirt was a replica of the teams training gear two years ago.

I walked out of the changing rooms and into the gym cafe where Joe was sitting with a mate of his. He looked up, saw the training sweatshirt that he used to wear and his face lit up.

He loves our club so so much....he was beaming to see the sweatshirt. He introduced himself to me (not vice versa) not that he needed any introduction. Bought me a coffee, the rest is history.

He chats whenever we both at the gym together and he shows genuine interest in me (a 71 year old season ticket holder).

Top top bloke who cares about our club and other people. I really hope he comes back to CCS in some capacity.

Nice story mate.

Great read, nice one for sharing. One of my favourite ever players. Nothing fancy with him but played with heart and loved the club. Definite legend.

Hope we see him again in some capacity.

Really great story that is.

Never heard anyone say a bad word about him as a person and always nice to hear stories like this.
