Moylan or Ashford as the striker I'm guessing.

Could do with Willock having one of his good nights.

Good opportunity for three points.

Cardiff City : Trott; Ng, Osho, Lawlor, Bagan; Robertson, J. Colwill, Ashford; Tanner, Moylan, Willock.

Subs: Tyrer, Fish, Turnbull, Scanlon, Davies, Moreno, Kpakio, Robinson, Holt

Sod that, was confident that he would cut out some of the under performers after Saturday - but no!! Tanner, again in the team, and no Issac Davis?

Glad I haven't driven down for that tonight. :banghead:

Very suprised Bagan is not dropped. Surely Scanlon deserves a start?. Its all in the first goal. Its huge.

Agree, personally would have started Scanlon over Bagan.

We're not even halfway through October and because of our lack of depth, Salech out means we are playing at home without a striker!

How farcical and embarrassing!

Happy with that been waiting to see Ashford have a go upfront

Watford the lowest scoring team this season just 7 goals

How about we see how it goes as we're obviously not playing without a striker, just not a recognized one. Would you have preferred Robinson up front?

Yes, I would rather Robinson up front, as he's a recognised striker who knows the position.

I guess he can't start another game so close to Saturday, which means we should have brought someone else in!

No striker starting, we can't keep a clean sheet and Watford will want to respond after their 4-0 defeat to Burnley. It isn't looking good.

A plus is Lawlor's starting, our only reliable and consistent centre back.

I can see tonight being yet another home game of playing some decent stuff without threatening, then Watford go a goal up and we're chasing the game once again...without a striker.

Why is Holt on the bench we signed him after the window closed and he was released by his club after the window closed
Thought he was only eligible to play for the U21 till the window opens in january

Brian Barry-Murphy goes without a recognised striker this evening, meaning Jack Moylan looks likely to start up front tonight.

Just one change from the defeat at Blackburn, with Chris Willock replacing Callum Robinson in the side.

Still no Yousef Salech or Rubin Colwill in the squad.

As you say I don't think Robinson could play 2 a week now and would have liked to try Moylan further forward anyway as he (Robinson) didn't really do anything on Saturday except score the easiest goal ever. Maybe we should have kept Etete around ?

Not really. What if Watford scored after Lawlor's mistake?

Watford have gifted us the first 3 goals thankfully and Moylan has been superb.

I still don't see us keeping a clean sheet and making it easy though.

I said yesterday when people were adamant we need to change tactics at home that how we play at home is fine weve battered everyone except wrexham we just need to learn how to finish , tonight we did just that , bbm needs to earn his crust by tweaking how we play away and make us harder to beat

Yep to be honest it's worked in quite a few away games too but we deserved to lose in QPR, Pompey and Blackburn. Boro are a tough team I hope he sets the stall out a bit more defensively Saturday
