I know I'm going to get hammered for bringing this thread to the top again.

No doubt I will be accused of being too negative.

But read the OP again and tell me I'm wrong.

The last 2 games against Stoke and Bolton have reinforced about every point I made.

BBM will not change his approach and our season will continue in the same way.

Imagine pushing this absolute f*cking bollocks on your own manager.

BBM will go onto great things, the liklihood of that being under this board and this "support" is very unlikely.

No idea where you getting that from. He’s an inexperienced unproven manager. And he’s not young. Why’s it taken him this long to get to where he is with such amazing talent?

Re: BBM - Cementhead

There are 34 managers in the football league older than him. Everyone that keeps pushing he will go on to great things is deluded, hes a one trick pony good at bringing through youth, but aside from that he is pretty useless. He isnt young and his level is as a loeer league manager, jeez hes not far off 50, that is a seasoned employee in every other walk of life.

Re: BBM - Cementhead

There are only 6 managers older than him in the championship.
The average age of a manger in the championship is 41.4. Maybe he’s only got the job because we desperate and no one else wanted him. He shouldn’t have achieved these great and wonderful things you speak of.

He's over-hyped.

Everyone picks out the Man City academy stuff - he had £10m, £15m, £20m U21 players from across the world in the richest academy in the world. They were all attracted by Pep's reputation. His job was to babysit these prospects until they might be ready for Pep to use. Actually, there weren't that many.

Nobody mentions his Leicester and Rochdale relegations, or the disastrous runs in those seasons and his point blank refusal to change his approach. Ever.

And we're back to my original OP.

Well, we are certainly pretty desperate now and not many other clubs are going to want him.

And like a week ago, i fully agree with you, nice football is getting us nowhere a week on, yes, pretty football and about 400 shots a game, but all fired from an almost blank pistol.

Just a willingness to change the plan before it's too late would at least show some understanding of the situation but I don't think it's going to happen.

We've battered Stoke and Bolton, why would he change the plan? 400 shots a game makes it sound like Tan is the manager and we are taking dips from everywhere. We've hit the post, bar, missed open goals, had chances clawed off the line, we are making great chances, the system he's built works someone just needs to put the ball in the net.

Because we got 1 point from those two batterings and anyone watching, bar BBM, knew exactly how it was going to go.

Just a tiny bit of change could work, just a small concession/fresh face in the window could have worked, just a couple of half time subs could work but he's incapable of any of that.

A fresh face in the window would have been wonderful, with what we have now the best people for the job are on the pitch, some of them aren't ideal but the last two games we've had its the starting 11 plus Ashford it's a massive drop off after that. I think any neutral watching probably thought Cardiff will win eventually because that's what tends to happen when you batter teams. Everyone thinks their own team will find a way to blow it

Going to keep bumping this thread as often as BBM keeps doing the same thing game after game.

Keep possession - check
Keep passing sideways and backwards - check
Keep making players in advanced positions stop, turnaround & come back - check
When we get a cross in or a corner, make it as shite as possible - check
Present no threat to the opposition goal whatsoever - check
DO NOT SHOOT! - check
Get hit on the counter - check
Get hit on the counter again - check
Make no changes while all the above is happening - check
Make some pre-planned questionable subs on the hour - check
Have an uncanny ability to not be able to read the game or do anything to change it - check
Make some pointless subs close to the end - check
Lose the game - check
Mumble some shite with your head down in the post match interview - check

From my OP;

'BBM is a Cementhead.'

'The midfield is non-existent, the defence fragile, the attack is ineffective.'

'A normal person would have to adapt, adjust and cut their cloth accordingly. What does BBM do? Stick to Plan A'

'Leicester repeated the same formation and tactics time and time again - other teams found it so easy to predict and counter what the were going to do. The easiest team in the League to play against.'

All 4 proving to be absolutely spot on - then and now.

Beginning to see quite a few posts in the match threads and elsewhere making the same points.

We are relegation material under Cementhead.

Planning Life of Brian 4.

Don't take it all from me - Tony Mowbray's quote mentioned in another thread - he knows what he's talking about. Covers the same ground as my OP.

"I thought we executed what we had worked on in transition - the second goal epitomised that. We broke quickly, cut it across and scored.

I would have been much happier if I was sitting here and we had scored another one or two. We had plenty of opportunities to score in the second half.''

They knew what BBM was going to do, they prepared for it, they planned for it and they executed it. That's what you do with your analysts and a 3 week international break. The only disappointment for them was that they didn't score 3/4.

BBM did nothing to surprise them, counter them or stop them.

Cementhead. Or just a bit shite?

I still think thread is as nonsensical now as it was when it was posted.

Funny how it wasn't brought up again after our last game.

You may do as you so invested in Murphy. You taking other people’s opions of him extremely personally. No one I’ve seen is calling for him to be sacked that I’ve seen.
And let’s be honest so of you threads and mine will be seen as nonsensical to them. Beauty in the beholders eye.
