He's certainly not adjusting to each opposition team as he prepares for each game and he's certainly not changing anything during the game based on what he's seeing in front of his eyes.

Even when it makes a sub, the incoming player seems to just repeat the role of outgoing one - mistakes included.

Not a problem in L1, totally unfeasible in the Championship.

Today was typical example of not adjusting? They changed formation and throughout 2nd half they looked better going forward and kept more possession to such extent almost 50/50 in stats.... whilst people may say didn't have anyone to change game on bench he could have changed formation take ineffective Tanner or Willock either one and put Ashford with Salech and go more long ball or certainly quicker pace going forward? We simply didn't give them anything to worry them despite the shots total ! Goal came from simply making wrong decision at back simple ball to trott or let him collect ball and goal doesn't happen! But teams know we have a weakness for bad decision making at back and so it proved to be case.

There's a bit of a gap between us and the clubs above already. Need that win urgently, perhaps 2 on the bounce to be fair.

He could've brough Turner and Tyrer on and stuck them up top... why two keepers when we play away? Bizarre

Why take 40 passes when 6 will do. We don't move the ball quick enough we don't counter attack quickly enough. Possession Football is OK we try to play our way through defences which is fine if you take your half chances but we are not. We got away with it last year because majority of teams were poor,we've allways said anybody can beat anybody in this league.

I honestly believe BBM and the club thought the stats from last season's team pointed to us being a mid-table championship club. It's whether you consider the loss of Wintle and Kellyman with Moylan and Beliek equal? So we only had to improve a few areas if those players became available. He won't panic buy

I think he is willing to give "his" players a chance to prove they are good enough, and he is good enough to improve them into championship players

I think we only have to be better than 3 clubs and we'll do that

I think you are right with your 2nd paragraph about the club thinking their impressive stats from last season would transpire to a mid table finish in the championship. Would also explain why they thought strengthening the team wasn't that important. 1 or 2 players in and we'll be fine.

If that is not naive, I don't know what is.

Hope your last line comes good for us...although I can't believe that's already how low a lot of us have set the bar.

Yep. He also said after the Stoke game, he only made 1 late sub because he sensed everything was going to plan and there was no need to do anything different. As it happened, we didn't get the winner, despite dominating, but it is completely indicative of his mentality.

It’s mad, top of the league in terms of number of shots. Nothing wrong with the football except the awful finishing and to be fair yesterday some good goalkeeping. It needs to change and some additional signings were definitely needed up front. Hopefully lesson learnt come January that players need to be signed early in the window and not taken chances on potential better ones becoming available last minute again

One of the numerous excuses given for us signing virtually nobody over the summer was that for some reason it was difficult to persuade players to come to a newly promoted team located where we are.

What chance will we have in January when that team is deep in a relegation fight and may well end up in League 1 next season?

If the aim was to buy then yes you leave yourself open to individual preference. What I would expect given the style we play and the chances given to younger players that a side looking to develop their youngsters would be throwing their players at us no matter where we were in the table come January.

So his superior coaching is why we had zero wins in 7 games. Silly me I always thought it was the better coaches were the ones that won the games. I need to reevaluate things.
Murphy is by far the best coach in the football league join by the 2 other coaches of the teams that are winless this season.

Some thought that was going to happen in the summer but it never did.

Can't see that changing if we're in a relegation battle.

That's the point. There's a really long way to go
All need a chance to settle and get used to the league.
Once the win comes I believe there will be more to follow..

Give us a chance

Nothing wrong with the style of football. It’s the quality of players that’s missing. If we bought a better winger, striker, cm in the transfer window we probably would have won a couple of games. The transfer window has completely crippled us.

BBM is not the problem, we have battered teams but just can't finish big chances, if we had a clinical front 3 we would have scored at least 6 in the last 2 games alone

Salech isn’t good enough, he needs to step up quickly or we will be back in league 1 again.

Scanlon yes but Kpakio was a defensive liabilty in League 1 let alone the Championship!! Ashfield needs to start instead of Tanner who is barely League 1 standard!!

To be fair our past record in the championship 2 seasons ago , and first 7 games dont lie , we need to address finding a way of keeping a clean sheet and scoring
I think we need to be more direct instead of waiting for the opposition to re group
