Not seen much on here about Nathan Trott. I watched the highlights and he makes some good saves. We may look a bit weak at the back but he's a rock in goal

He was great last season and is our best Keeper since Etheridge and I was pleased when we signed him permanently but I thought he should have done better for their goal.

However he'll be a key player for us this season and will gain us many needed points.

Think most keepers think they could or should have saved some goals? Wrexhams last nights was a bit strange in way it went in but dealing with a high shot when not in middle of goals is difficult ... same as our goal that lot complaining he should saved it but it was going away from him so again difficult... both keepers will say should have saved the goals. But thats life of a keeper.

Wrexham keeper thought Rubin would shoot in the other corner and over the wall, so Rubin just outsmarted him and it was too late for the keeper to adjust properly.

Yes but it's his job to cover that off. Rubin did hit a rocket and caught the keeper out but you've got to be saving anything that comes to the side without a wall

Good shot stopper but that's about all for me his distribution is Awful at times with kick outs to anyone other than a blue shirt , long balls over us he starts running out then runs back to at times but should make it, it baffles me as he's rooted to his line most the time even when the ball lands in our box five yards from his goal line off a set piece, corner or whatever and he should be claiming them like goalkeepers do.

Although he had to come out and punch last night a couple of times as the ball landed 2 yards off his line or Moore would have had more goals. But if he had everything he wouldn't be playing for us let's be honest same as every player :bluescarf:

Great for Trott but a worrying statistic as far as the protection he received from those in front of him.

You really want your keeper to have to make as few saves as possible if the team is doing it's job defensively.

I remember Marshall making the most saves in the Premier League the first time we went up because we were constantly getting battered by opposition teams.

I'd be much happier if Trott was way down the list of goalie saves this season.

I would agree if he stays as the keeper with the most saves after the first ten games, but it's only after one game and a game where we had three CBs injured.

All I will say is that this Forum would have gone into an even bigger summer meltdown, if we hadn’t signed him up after last season’s displays and his (comparatively) low price

I like him, I rate him, and for me, he’ll be our no.1 for the next few years :ayatollah:

Glad we got this one over the line - straight after the season finished last season
