TONIGHT RUBIN COLWILL IS THE TOAST OF SOUTH WALES WITH HIS 96th MIN EQUALISER

RUBINS EQUALISER SENT THE CCS CRAZY

But Wrexham are def not anything special:

Ref was awful

At the back City looked so shaky and uneasy:

When Wrexham went forward they looked a lot better than City.

FIRST-HALF: WHERE WAS CARDIFF’S PASSING FROM LEAGUE 1 GONE?

With in 3 mins: GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Wrexham (Moore 3)
Rapid start from Wrexham.
Gabriel Osho is too slow getting out and plays Kieffer Moore onside. He finishes well from a pretty tight angle.

Wrexham looked the better side, created chances and made City for long periods 2nd best.

SECOND-HALF: CARDIFF DID IMPROVE

City were struggling:

And actually creating nothing at the final hurdle.

62 mins: Tanner and Willock replaced by both Colwill brothers

80mins Three more changes for City as Isaak Davies, Ronan Kpakio and Callum Robinson replace Calum Scanlon, Alex Robertson and Cian Ashford

Shots on Target 7-3 Wrexham

96th min Yes yes Rubin Colwill equalised

Robertson played every ball safe didn't create with the ball we looked slow and didn't create enough a set piece did it for us keeper all 10 million of him should of saved it but not taking away from rubin absolutely brilliant and so happy for him .
Happy for the draw in the end .
We evidently need more new players brought in aswell but moylon was superb i thought

One thing I notice when you watch a quality team vs an average team is how they pass.

When quality players pass the ball, it lands either at the players feet if stationary, or they don’t have to break their stride if they are running. First half both teams passed behind players, we were worse for it with players having to constantly check strides.

Second half we improved to be better than they were, it was something I silently criticised with Rubin he always made players stop and check if he made a run.

When he and Joel came on we improved in the final third, but not solely those two the whole team passed better!

Great finish and love the never die attitude this lot has, hopefully we’ll have more results ending in 3 points because of this team spirit than a sole point but tonight I take that

Rode our luck at times but this team never give it up. Magic from Rubin.
Lots to learn and improve but that point feels like a win. Hugely important for confidence. We urgently need our centre halfs fit and to sign muscle in midfield.

Don't forget his brother Joel - he got the free kick. Never understand why he does not start every time.

Rubin is an 8 and not a 10

Fortunately the brothers came on,one made the goal and the other buried it.

Happy with the result but we really have to work on our counter attacks

I have never seen a team break so slow when 1 nil down

Gotta be happy with that result and probably deserved it overall.

We didn't create much and Wrexham were difficult to break down but we controlled large parts of the game. I was wondering where our goal was gonna come from (we absolutely gotta get some competition in for Salech) but Super Rube's was the difference. Quality strike!!!

Had about ten bodies land on my leg in Canton with that equaliser but so worth it

What a goal.

We deserved at least a point, played well.

This was pretty much my view; but the late goal was a great one and shut the Disney Mouseketeers up good and proper!

Tanner had no end product whatsoever but I was impressed with Moylan, who looks to be a good fit once we gain our cohesion and attack a little quicker for the whole game!

And anyone who still thinks Keiffer the Mercenary would still be welcome here is wrong (IMHO)

Lots of negativity on here again. Yes wrexham had ther better chances but having spent 50+ Millennium in the last three seasons id expect that, but our youngsters were superb tonight and deserved the point, yet still some moan. f*cking unbelievable.

I’m not seeing the amount of negativity you refer to on this particular thread! :?

There players resilient and some were very good, but some others weren’t at the races and for me, Ollie Tanner was the poorer of those because he gave daft ball away at almost every opportunity; and I felt Ashford was off his game, too!

There was a big difference once the subs came on, and two of them created (brothers) and scored the equaliser! :notworthy:

Happy days in this house and theirs no doubt! :ayatollah:

Difficult to break against a team that plays 5 at the back and 2 midfielders that rarely go passed the half way line.

Wrexham basically parked the bus and let us have the ball thinking they could stop us scoring and then hitting us on the break.

I felt the subs changed the game Joel's energy just put us on the front foot straight away , I still think we need a big physical number 6 ASAP as again we looked quite open in the middle on the transition

Moylan looks the real deal and him and rubin will cause havoc for opposing defenses this season

It will take us a few games to get up and running and the fact we snatched a point at the death whilst not being anywhere near our best against a team who see themselves as a top 8 side stands us in good stead going forward

Some fine individual performances tomight.

I thought Osho, Scanlon and Moylan were excellent. The Colwills changed the game.

But where has our slick passing game gone? Not much sign of it this evening and not sure if it was us or Wrexham stopping us.

They certainly played a "low block" in the second half and we struggled to break them down.

Overall I think we definitely deserved a point - the free kick was brilliant.

Would still like to see at least another 3 come in before the window closes

Can’t disagree with that! And particularly the three (at least) to come in; so long as they are players BBM really wants rather than has to accept! :ayatollah:

Positives:

- Pre-match visuals have improved and whoever was cutting out hey jude to get the crowd going needs a pat on the back
- Moylan and Scanlan were the two best players for us, in my opinion. Both class.
- The Colwill brothers coming on together were a weapon which ultimately changed the game.
- Trott was quality, again. Nothing he could have done for that goal
- No real bad performance yesterday for me
- The crowd came into it big time around 65 onwards - well done all, this was needed.
- We played BBM ball against a widely tipped top 6 club.

Negatives:

- We pretty much had the ball for the 2nd half but do not make enough chances from the possession. They still had the more clear cut when they broke. This needs to improve. Are they managed to not pull the trigger around the 'D'? Side to side with no harm in the 6 yard box.
- The red & white advertising boards made it look welcome for Wrexham, anyone else notice this??? 2 different ones back to back, on loop. 32Red and something else.
- We need to sign someone like their number 2, Callum Doyle. What a player. Valued around £9Mill though.
- The beer is still crap
