Osho been making some really good passes and blocks and recoveries since the early error. Was more a hit and hope from Wrexham TBF and I would imagine that same passage of play would catch alot of teams out

Tanner scares the crap out of them every time he runs at the defence. Salech has done nothing so far but we have hardly peppered the area with crosses. Trott could have done better with the goal & the less said about Osho the better, Moore did take it well though.

The crowd sounds so quiet its like there are half as many people as there actually are.

This. The boo boys will latch onto his one error though. BBC Live scores been dishing out praise for Osho. I swear some supporters of ours have poo in their eyes.

But every game he has a basic error. Hes a total.liability. Steeping out in line with your back 4 is parks level.

We grew into that. New league, full house and started nervously. In this league we will get punished for mistakes in a way that we didn’t last year. However we’ve grown into the game and looked good towards the end of the half. I think if we get something here it will be great for the confidence. We need a few new lads in as midfield looks very lightweight and obviously centre half an issue. Another goal in this easily but don’t know which way

Never boo him. Needs our support but he can't be a first choice centre half.

Overall possession Cardiff - 62.9%

Total touched in opposition box - Cardiff 13, Wrexham 14.

I'd suggest that its a more even contest than some people make out. Yes Wrexham have been more threatening at times, but if I was a Wrexham fan I would be very disappointed with the contribution of the Gogs forwards,

We have 1 shot, not 1 on target, 1 in total to their 4 (seems low?) all (I think) on target.

Yes please :occasion5:

But I would settle for a few more shots.

On come both Colwills, time to shine guys. Off go Tanner & Willock.

Surprised Ashford has been kept on.

Interesting that the Wrexham keeper is worth almost as much as our squad. Lack of investment is showing, yet again. Let's hope the colwill brothers can get us a point. I would take a draw as a good result.

Grealish at the game, in discussions with Wrexham I would presume.

Re: MATCH THREAD: “CARDIFF CITY v WREXHAM " MATCH THREAD

Mon Aug 17, 2026 8:37 pm

Ashford has been quiet, although in front of goal we’ve been quiet.

Tanner looked interested, but couldn’t get the final ball. Willock looked to want to score, but a championship defence didn’t want to give him space.

Positives has been Moylan and for his hold up and interlinking play Salech.

Hope we can at least salvage a draw, but this Wrexham team have some depth and it’s going to be a challenge to finish above them

We are way too slow attacking

Can we stop with the backheels & flicks and just get the fking ball in the fking box.

Moylan, the only new player and has performed the best for Cardiff tonight. A good signing imo just needs better players around him. :bluescarf:

Battled well I thought, against a team that will be well in with a shot of promotion
Moylen excellent and Scanlon played well too
We need new signings though. Its a very strong championship this year

We didn’t cut them open enough but what a fantastic result given how we started.

Once again when Rubin gets the ball he moves forwards, sometimes he loses the ball, but he always drives us forwards.

I’d have taken this before the game, I’d have taken this after 80 minutes, and after 95 minutes I’d have given anything. What a finish, we kept them quiet and should have held the ball off them early on like we did last season.

Brilliant free kick and a good point! We were a lot better second half, we need to be a bit quicker in our attack and create more shooting opportunities.

The ending to that game felt like a win with the never give up attitude - hopefully give us conference into the next game.
