Re: Cardiff have 5.5 million bid rejected

We bumped in to BBM, he was shocked himself by the so called unbelievable bid the media are putting out, that’s all he would say, nothing else on the matter.

I never believed it as soon as I heard it out out

You would be suppised how much crap is posted to get players a move from agents and clubs to the story tellers over transfers and rumous.

I also believe BBM toes the party line with above despite what's put out, the same as any job and he also had a list of players he wanted ready as soon as pre season started so they are up and running for the first game of the season rather than last minute deals that take 4 or 5 weeks to get ready to start games as we have seen that for a good few years now. We will see either way :bluescarf:

We need players asap, but I do think we will get top quality loans; they unfortunately mostly come really late when the Premier Leagues decide on their squads and backups.

Before the ridiculous TV money came into the game, Rangers were the richest club in the UK.
The biggest movement of British people, since WW2 was the Rangers support in Manchester for the Europa League Final.
There’s 700 Rangers supporters clubs
There’s Rangers pubs in every popular European holiday resort
We hold the world attendance record for a regular 4th tier football match.
I don’t say this in a boastful way, these are all simply facts, nor do I mean any disrespect to the City, I’ve had some great times watching Cardiff, home and away. However saying Rangers are not a bigger club than Cardiff is retarded.
The reason Cardiff will never be one of the biggest clubs in Britain, is because too many “proud” Welsh people support English clubs, clubs they have no familial, historical or geographical connection to.
From a personal point of view, if this guy signs for Rangers great, if not there’s no place I’d rather see him than at the CCS.

Thanks Jock, some interesting facts there but like Cardiff City most of them are in the distance past. I don't understand the 2nd one though unless you're saying they took more to Manchester than say Liverpool would take to a Champions League final or do you mean just from the other side of the border to the English side? I presume the 4th tier thing is when they got kicked out of the big leagues for being totally broke and going into admin.

As for support I was very surprised to see that Rangers had less than 800k followers on Twitter (okay x if you must) while Wrexham have over 2 million. Have mobile phones & computers reached the masses up there yet? I presume the 4th tier thing

I still don't think they're a huge club anymore due to how rich the richest are but want them to do well as long as they stay up in the frozen tundra that is Glasgow.

Wrexham are everything that’s wrong with football two rich septic tanks who see it as a new hobby and a load of pretendy new fans that want to be associated with Hollywood glamour by association.
Rangers would take more to a CL final (played on Fantasy Island Obvs) than the bin dipping scousers. The Premier League has become a tourist league and while it’s the place to be financially, it’s becoming passionless and sterile experience. I’m a realist and realise even Mickey Mouse clubs like Bournemouth or Brighton can now outbid Rangers for players and in global terms we’ll become less and less relevant.
However back to Cardiff, treasure what you’ve got, a club who despite little success still pull in a loyal fan base of real fans and generate a great community spirit in Cardiff and surrounding areas.
Now forgive me, I must go. Those deep fried Mars Bars won’t eat themselves and that syringe full of smack is looking very tempting.
All the best from ridiculous stereotype central

UPDATE/SKY SPORTS:

Cardiff City are advancing in negotiations with Tromso for midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl.

The clubs are edging closer to an agreement.

#CCFC would still need to agree personal terms for the 20yo, who is keen to weigh-up all his options amid Rangers interest.

If the player meets with Ken Choo we've got no chance.

Difficult to compete with Rangers though - easy opposition most weeks and two European games every season.

If the boy wants a real challenge he's more likely to get one in the Championship than in the SPL.

Sky Sports now reporting that Rangers are in advanced talks with a midfielder from Partizan Belgrade. £4m price tag. I wonder if this means they’re moving on - hence the report that we are now advancing in negotiations.

Apparently that's a very reliable page too.

Hopefully we have other targets.

According to Norwegian outlet Nordlys, Rangers officials have now flown to Norway for talks with Tromso as they step up their pursuit of the midfielder.

The report claims discussions are at an advanced stage and that the Scottish giants are prepared to offer Tromso a 4 year deal.

Cardiff City have yet to have had any personal conversations or discussions with Tromso

And so I will.

What a weird thing to judge it by the Wrexham game when we can still sign players after that

Are you going to judge the season after the Wrexham game and just forget what happens in the rest of the season too?

Play about 5 games before window closes on Sept 1st ... so expect most if not all deals to be done by Wrexham game? Otherwise armeggedon time on here !

Would say PL loans would be in the last week of the window like Kellyman, so if we have 2 or 3 of those then they will be late. PL loans always a big part of the window for Championship clubs.

Rangers insiders are saying the reports they had officials going to Tromso to finalise the deal are false.

They are prioritising a deal for a Serbian midfielder.

I'm speculating, but probably makes us favourites for Hjerto-Dahl.

Spot on loan deals are always last minute no way we've got them all in by the start of the season. It would be nice to get all the permanent signings in by then though

Was referring to sighnings "money" loans as you say are always late in summer window ... its very hard to know how many we actual need 4 permanent + 2 loans 4 loans?
