Cardiff City continue their pre-season preparations with an away game against Cork City on Tuesday night - KO 7.45pm.

The Bluebirds will visit the home town of manager Brian Barry-Murphy for this game against their League of Ireland (2nd tier) opponents - they were relegated from the Premier Division last season. BBM started his playing career with Cork.

BBM's father, Jimmy Barry-Murphy, is also from Cork and is seen as one of the most celebrated people in Irish sport - in hurling and gaelic football.

Cork City are in the middle of their season and sit top of the league with 54 points from 23 games.

Cork have won the LOI Premier Division three times, the last being in 2017.

The match will be played at Turners Cross, which has a capacity of around 7,000. There are over 500 Cardiff City fans attending.

Decent run out , I've said for the last 18 months tankie is the one to watch and thought he just looked so good second half for such a young lad

Lovely to see us score six goals but I think we learnt more by getting beat 6 nil on the weekend. Very weak opposition. But as always its not the score its all about the work out. Very impressed with Tankiewicz. What a young player he is.

Lovely to see Tankiewicz on the scoresheet. Interested to see if we loan him out this year (to get game time) or we keep and use him as a fringe player.

Wasn't happy with the result on Saturday because losing 6-0 in any context is bad.

But always say these games are just about fitness really, I doubt anybody will get carried away by this result - and rightly so.
