I remember the last home game against the JBs at NP they had to build a temporary tunnel from the coach park across Sloper Road to protect the JB fans from the missiles raining down on them!

A propher footy ground and plenty of history.
I wonder how many fans have climbed that floodlight over the years!!

Not in my early days it wasnt the Away end. Back in my day that was our home end with huge concrete and wooden terracing and a huge roof - 'Tiptoe, through the Grange End, with your flicknife and your hobnail boots on tiptoe through the Grange End with me'

Those were the days my friend....looked a lot different early seventies....

That's a sad looking Grange End & not how it should be remembered. The whole picture makes it look like a run down, shabby looking place from the outside, wasn't much better inside by then.

Many great memories of Ninian Park, but that ground had become outdated and needed to be replaced.
Unfortunately, modern day stadiums don't often carry over the atmosphere for a variety of reasons.
But I have to admit that as I approach old age, I enjoy the superior comfort and facilities of our new stadium.

The old Grange End is where i stood in the late 60's and right throughout the 70's . They were great days and it produced an intimidating atmosphere towards the away fans. I will never forget the Real Madrid game in there standing at the back on the zincs.What a night it was. I have looked for a photograph over the years of just the old Grange End [ i have one or two with the team sat infront of it ] but i cant find one just of the End on its own. Can anyone help please ?

Annis posted one a few months ago with city fans in the corner of the grange end taunting the Man Utd fans in 1974. Great photo - flares and doc martins everywhere

One,two,three,four.five......if you want to stay alive keep off THE GRANGE END..and a few tried to take our end....mental.
