Play offs now bigger

3 to 8 in play offs now
3 and 4 atomatic semi final
5 6,7 and 8 to play Qf stage

Being serious, I don’t agree with it and I fail to see how a club finishing in 8th place in the Championship (and potentially 20+ points behind the team in 3rd place) can be either justified, or be ‘ready’ for what might lie ahead in the Premier League

Poor thinking from the EFL revenue-makers after a 46 game season has already taken its toll :roll:

How is it fair Hull went up? I'm in favour of it, in theory it'll help the 3rd and 4th placed teams chances of being promoted. I'm totally on board with there simply not being playoffs but if there are in for a penny in for a pound

Just get rid of the play offs altogether and have top 3 automatically promoted, like it used to be apparently.

It will make it even more interesting towards the end of the season with more teams playing for a chance of promotion.

Apparently? When did they get rid of it, was it really that long ago?
