Medal ceremony on Saturday

Tue Apr 21, 2026 5:19 pm

Obviously we have tomorrow's game to enjoy first, but the players will receive their medals on Saturday after the game.

Think we'll get a trophy for 2nd as well, we did when we finished 2nd in the Championship.

Posting this early so more people are aware and hopefully as many people as possible stay in the stadium after the full time whistle to show their appreciation to the team and manager :bluebird:

What are the chances of Tan turning up here Saturday?

He'll probably want to claim the glory by giving the players their medals.

If he does I hope he gets a toxic reception

If he does I hope he is simply ignored. The focus must be on the achievement of this young team and BBM. Leave protests and complaints about the board for another day.

No Negativity . A day of full celebration .It would be pathetic and small minded to jeer on such a day .

BBM mentioned in a recent interview that we may expect to see him soon.

Agreed, we won promotion well, and it needs to be a positive day for the players and the Manager to thank them for a job well done.

Zero, I think he's well aware that despite it being a positive season, we should never have been here in the first place and there's only one person to blame for that

There is no way city fans will ignore Tan if he is here he will get what he deserves ,not been here for years he has treated the fans appallingly.
I remember his fly comment at the time if there is a rich welsh billionaire out there who would like to buy the club off me otherwise in so many words,
" shut it" he let us drop down out of the championship, he did not back Murphy he cleared out over 20 plus players it was by luck and murphys skills that we were pro.oted it could gave gone the other way quite easily.

So for Tan to come and wave to the fans he will get the response he deserves I am afraid ,it's no good good hoping he will do the right thing if we don' t boo him etc .

I tend to agree with you on this one, as the focus must be on BBM and the team on what should be a day of celebration!

The ‘issues’ (Tan) will still be there the day after and the recriminations will continue throughout the Summer break, as rumours, speculation, and the club will either support BBM or incur the wrath of of the Bluebird faithful

I am away at the moment, so won’t be there, but I also believe those who are able to be there should be, as days like this don’t come about very often and BBM (not Tan), his staff and players deserve the plaudits on the day they get their medals and a trophy!

Just my opinion though; others will likely feel differently regardless of the occasion :ayatollah:

Of course people should stay for the presentation and cheer the players on their lap of honour - they have given us a great season. Leaving before the match finishes? - bonkers!
