BBM: Results recently haven't been what we have wanted

Mon Apr 06, 2026 6:04 pm

"We have to accept that the results recently haven’t been what we would have wanted."

BBM:

“I felt as if we created enough chances today to win the game clearly but we didn’t take them.

“We have constantly been working on our attacking play to create more clearcut chances in the wake of our recent performances where we’ve had good domination with the ball but haven’t created enough chances for our liking.

“That element of our game was good today but the next step is to convert those chances.

“We wanted to win the game. The backing we had was incredible again today and when we scored, I was very confident that we would kick on and score more goals.

“Peterborough always have danger because of their front players and they are able to break forward and score. You saw that with the chances that they created on the counter-attack.

“Their goal was difficult for us to take but we bounced back from that and created chances; the players attacked until the last minute.

“We have to accept that the results recently haven’t been what we would have wanted. Our response to that has been to work incredibly hard to produce the chances that will give us the chance to win games.

“Today, the players did everything but take those chances and they left everything on the pitch for the supporters so I can’t ask any more of them in that respect.

“Salech being back is very significant because of the nature of his injury and how severe it was.

"He has only been back a few days in full training so he is still getting used to that feeling of heading the ball again and being in contact with other players.

"To get him back on the pitch, for his teammates and for the supporters, is a very big moment.”

I agree with his assessment.

Our overall game was good but we didn’t score.

Our creativity was much better and our midfield and defence was decent. Our weak spot is always teams hitting us on the break.

I just wish Joel would have been given a run though.

NO MATTER WHICH WAY YOU TRY TO TURN IT 8PTS FROM OUR LAST 24PTS IS NOT GOID ENOUGH AND 1 WIN FROM OUR LAST 6 GAMES IS RELEGATION FORM:

And only 2 wins from our last 8 games

Agreed although we should of won 5 - 1 yester the shooting was awful at best Vs a absolute dire Peterborough team in truth.

BBM insist on playing the same way irrelevant as we all know he has one system that's it.

I really do think if we had had a few more signings in January we we would be over the line by now , but he wasn't backed despite what he has to say to the media most knows this and been told from staff within there :ayatollah:

It's a good job we have the points in the bag going into the last part of the season .
