A forum for all things Cardiff City

Sadly this is the modern day supporter, as one of the previous posters said most of them were not born when I started watching City in the 80's when we were not very good! BBM played it down in his interview and has always praised the support at the CCS so long may that continue when we are promoted!

I do not like booing but rather that, than idiots throwing items on to the ground, that just gets the club in trouble like the last game and Lincoln game that just causes problems for our club.

When Salech is back the goals will come flying in.
Petulant way to express frustration - there are other ways rather than to boo the players and manager who had just taken another positive step towards an immediate return to the Championship.
Yes fans pay their money and can boo if they want but how do they think that's going to benefit the team exactly?

We were all frustrated and disappointed today but the players and the manager did not deserve that.
Absolutely ridiculous.
We didn't even lose the game!
Completely agree with you. Absolute disgrace. I get it was frustrating but BBM has had huge success on the whole with these tactics. Blackpool came to defend in a block and they did a good job - no way through for us. Kellyman and Ruben obviously not strikers, so that doesn't help.
Our fans are so fickle at times. The players are clearly putting a shift in and trying to win, that's evident.

We are second in the league and we've hit a spell and stagnated and teams since Lincoln have all set up the same way its very hard to break down and make opportunities. I was frustrated watching it bbm needs to break up play either go down the middle or get in behind or go direct just make teams think a bit more thats all.
It really mad me angry to watch it was painful i get that but booing a team sitting in a promotion position well id never boo city no matter what .
I will slag em all off in the pub though
Exactly mate. Good post.

Yep, totally out of order, strangely enough I was surrounded by XBOX FIFA managers yesterday aswell who would have had us promoted already the way they were babbling on.

I would say booing is direct on the day most players know if they have under peformed they have not heard it this season, and you say what benefit, perhaps it might be a rocket up the a.se Aston Villa fand regulary booed there team if they under performed it has done them no harm.

It's also no a reflection of the season it's on the day.

If it's directed at lazy, underperfornming players or a clueless manager like Riza I could possibly understand it (although I still wouldn't agree with it!) but I don't see how anyone could fault the effort put in yesterday even if we couldn't break down a stubborn Blackpool side.
As some have said I suppose that's modern football - win and you get cheered and lose (or even draw in our case! ) and you get booed.
I wonder if Lincoln got booed by their fans when they could only draw with Huddersfield during the week?

Pathetic that was what that was about.

People are bored of the same style I guess and knowing teams are going to sit on there box in two banks narrow and let us tap it around the sides of the pitch, backwards and sideways without anything in the middle although some teams have clearly sussed us, it's the inability for BBM to change anything knowing it not working I guess that's why fans are booing I assume with the extra 10 passes rather than get it in the box or whatever.
The trouble is if it shows 24 shots and 2 on target as in actual saves from the other teams goal keeper they go off the result when in truth it could of been 2-0 even though we had enough shots but 95% of them were at 20 yards ones and none went in, which shows we can't play middle football currently on the center half shoulders due to personal or BBM not changing systems it's one or the other vs certain teams who got our number in the way they set up. We could of also lost that game Vs Blackpool the changes they had also.
I've got no problem with fans reacting good or bad that's football today you just have to accept it even if I wouldn't do it myself irrelevant of results.

People can boo, but I can also call them out as idiots for booing, when we are 2nd in the league and getting promoted.
Bunch of entitled muppets the lot of them.

This is what our fan base has become quick enough to boo them at the whistle but when they walk round the pitch they clap!!
Make it make sense fickle w*****s
