That's why we needed cover up front

Robinson won't net us goals - Defenders will have an easy day against us without Salech

Totally agree:

But the usual suspects would disagree even if we had NO Strikers at all.

The problem is we don’t have quality to back Salech up.

The way he talks about Salech makes me think he will be out a bit longer than we thought

Which makes my gripe that we didn't bring in cover even more valid

I still think we will be fine against teams who come to try and play football against us

But we will drop points against the more physical teams which we wouldn't have if Salech was playing just my opinion though

Yeah like Barnsley when we scored 4 and Burton when we scored 2.

I was told 2 months and that was apparently from Salech himself.

People keep saying oh but we scored this many goals without Salech

Its not the scoring goals that's the problem but against physical teams we have nobody who can hold the ball up like Salech so the ball just keeps coming back at us which puts us under more pressure meaning we will be under unnecessary pressure and conceed more goals the Burton game being a prime example

Salec distracts the centre backs leaving it free for willock and kellyman the sooner he is back the better.

Monty,

He certainly does that’s why BBM loves him and needs him.

I cant believe some on here are not bothered he’s out injured and some think we are virtually better without him?

It obvious to a lot what salec brings as a target man not just scoring,
that's why the stockport defender took salec out of the game by any means is was surprised cardiff did not complain and show video evidence the way he was taken out of the game.

BBM looked pretty relaxed about it in the video so I am too.

Said this in the previous thread 7 goals in less than 3 games since Salech was injured. We have cover that's performing more than adequately

We may aswell play 6 in midfield Saturday without salech as that's what its like watching the last few games hardly any crosses going in and nobody to hold it up. Robinson drops on to midfield to get the ball most the time which I assume he's told to then it just goes back in the direction it comes from if he don't get out muscled which is most 50\50 balls. It's how Murphy wants to play as no real number 9 or target man for us really unless we are losing so chasing the game he puts two up top at times in the last 10 to 15 minutes that's the only system we ever change to ive noticed but it's got us wins from losing positions at times :bluescarf:

Thats the way I see it.

Salech is a huge player for us this season, and looking forward to having him back, but its not like we don't have options. Kellyman and Robinson obviously but both Isaak and Cian played as strikers for the under 21s and could do a decent job.

I'd actually love to see Isaac given a bit of time up front, it suits his game so much better than out on the wing.

The way BBM talks about players coming back from injury, and it will be a week etc. I wouldn't be surprised when the team is announced on Saturday, that on the subs bench, one or maybe two of those are on the bench ?

Oh and I'm watching the weather as we have had a lot of rain up here the last few days

Rubin did a full contact training session yesterday and looked good, wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench for the Luton game
