Everyone around us making signings

Fri Jan 30, 2026 8:44 pm

Seems that everyone else around us are strengthening their squads ready for a promotion push. Although we are well ahead of the others I still feel we also need to get 1 or 2 people in on loan, no need for permanent signings just to see us over the finish line.
With the amount of players we’ve shipped out and wages saved, you’d think that’s enough for a few quality loans.

However, we alll know what the dictator is like and he’s probably pocketed all the savings already.

We are not allowed to say the Truth

Watch out Tan fans will pounce on you for saying the truth

Dalman will still us all tan is still putting in 1m a month to keep the club afloat since god knows now many years ago to cover losses even if we been cost cutting every year since, he would also tell us he's not taking a penny out for the club, although you got no chance finding him anyway

So BBM has made it clear he has a particular type of player in mind that he wants. He let Ralls and Rino go in the summer straight away. He wants players who can play his way. We need back up players not players for the first team unless they are really good and better than what we have and other teams won’t want to let them go. They also won’t want players coming to be back up players.

There’s so much to this than simply Tan isn’t backing BBM. BBM has laid out exactly what he wants what his squad. Not too bloated because he doesn’t want players not playing.

Do we really think BBM would take not say if he wasn’t being backed? What are the ramifications if he did say that? He gets sacked and walks into pretty much any job he wants in the top / middle of the championship or anywhere league one.

THIS IS NOT ME BEING A TAN SUPPORTER IT’S JUST HAVING AN OBJECTIVE VIEW TO WHAT IS HAPPENING.

The same ones who keep on about this are the same ones who called BBM Tinker man and said we could slip to mid table.

Now if we go up and we don’t sign players that’s a totally different matter.

IF BBM SPOKE OUT ABD WAS TOTALLY HONEST ABOUT THE FINANCIAL BACKING HE WOULD BE GONE TODAY

BBM is an employee and as any employee in an organisation, will be mindful of the management structure and the rules and practices. He has presumably understood the situation when he agreed to join us.All managers want more players and make requests to the board/owner.BBM is diplomatic but I think if he did criticise the owner for not giving money for players then Tan would be foolish to sack him given the position we are in.All the fans would be up in arms.

BBM is in a position of strength.

Tan can’t believe his luck finding this guy.

The Tan supporters think it's a cunning plan for the future. Tan wants out for as much money as he can get, he doesn't give a toss about what happens to the club since the red shirt uprising. BBM is a bonus for us at the moment and I hope a new owner comes in and keeps hold of him. That opportunity will not be there for long and with the championship on the horizon, what's the plan? Straight back down with no investment, which has happened on multiple occasions. Decisions this year could be pivotal for the future of the club. :bluescarf:

Just shows what an idiot Tan is. How this guy ever made money is beyond belief. For a small outlay he could guarantee promotion and make the club far more valuable.

Hopefully Tan sells us and we get owners who will build on the fantastic base we have under BBM.

Realistically I think Tan won’t sell unless a really good offer comes in.

Totally agree we are not thinking of next season at all yet sadly because the two loans we actually have got this season will be going back or sold and we won't buy them im sure of that.

People think the current squad will be up there in the championship because of BBM being here if he stays of course but i think we would be down the bottom end in a fight because the core are the same pkayers as last season even if BBM stayed how do you get a tune out of some who didn't cut it last season in the championship. For me there is no thinking at all from the club in to next season or even 2 or 3 first team transfers to make sure we go up this season.

A few injury's and players out for whatever reason and say we don't go up the protest and social media talk will come from the fareweather woodwork fans that's a cert although none of it would be BBM fault he's just saying what he has to say even if he has given the board a list of A & B players he would like . Just because he says certain things interviews about players people actually think that's all he wants is a left back. All managers want better players for now and the future . BBM has not and will not be backed to what he actually wants that's my opinion on it but let the "small squad" don't worry types we are top anyway believe what they want I guess :bluescarf:

Would they really (be ‘up in arms’)? :?

What evidence do you have to support that, looking at past experiences?

I think there would be a fan backlash if Tan sacked BBM for criticism of him for not providing funds for players when we are top of the table. However BBM is not going to do that,he will carry on with the squad he has got. There is no need to go public with any discussions he may have with the owner.

Boltons new signing got the winner today, all our rivals have realised this league is there for the taking and have all showed a bit of ambition and have gone for it
