Swansea sack their manager

Tue Nov 11, 2025 1:10 pm

Officially Swansea have Sacked their Manager:

Swansea City are set to sack head coach Alan Sheehan.

The Irishman had two stints as the club's interim boss but landed the role on a permanent basis in the latter stages of the 2024-25 season following the departure of Luke Williams.

He has overseen just four league wins from the club's opening 15 matches of the current Championship campaign - the club's lowest return since they were relegated from the Premier League in 2018.

Following Saturday's 4-1 loss to Ipswich Town at the Swansea.com Stadium, the Welsh side sit 18th in the table.

Their total of 17 points from their first 15 games of a league campaign is their worst return since they were relegated from the top flight.

Disappointing in many ways, as he was doing a great job (for us Bluebird supporters) :laughing6:

On a serious note, I honestly thought they had a good summer of purchases, so it surely has to be down to him in this occasion?

Omer Riza is a great call to replace him! He’d fit in well, talks the same self-deluded b@!!@@£$ as most ‘Jacks’! :ayatollah:

Can't see them staying up, they have such a small budget. Lost to two relegation rivals recently - Cheltenham and Shrewsbury.

Did beat Harrogate but they look in big trouble.

Saw most of game and had one on one with keeper missed and never really looked like winning game after that... need big influx of players in january if to avoid drop... but with jenkins as owner suspect won't happen.... fans calling for flynn to come back!

It’s clearly a risk, but they do seem to get most of their appointments right; financially at least!

I guess it will go one of two ways. He’ll improve their current plight, realise a caravan winter isn’t exactly ‘Mediterranean’, and he’ll leave for a bigger club

Or, my preference, he’ll be the new Omer Riza, and pull the will over their eyes until it’s all too late and we wave to them as we swap places next season! :ayatollah:

Chris do you think he could change things that much at dot com considering his background? They are the worst side in championship for attacking stats either last or next last in all aspects according to pundit other day! hence why near bottom?
He's a totally inexperienced coach i guess they've looked at us and said they're doing OK with inexperienced coach why can't we?

Interesting appointment.

He was third choice at best. They wanted the new Boro manager and Russell Martin before him.

But he is a supposed rising star.

They need to hope this appointment is right or they're in trouble.

People say they often make good appointments but that's not true in recent years, they've made a lot of bad ones.

I was surprised at how many managers they've had since 2015 they've had 10
We've had 11! Not sure how accurate the information was online ..... but do know theres not a lot between us
Despite what people say... as for their latest appointment he maybe well thought of but considering their position it's a big gamble.

Good job changed manager as they got one point less than we had at this stage of season after their 2-1 loss to derby last night......
