Nottingham Forest have donated £10,000 to Stephen Crean’s Ju

Nottingham Forest have donated £10,000 to Stephen Crean’s Just Giving Page at the request of club owner Evangelos Marinakis.

The club have given Stephen a complimentary season ticket for next season. They have invited him to fly with the squad on a private jet to a Europa League game, to stay at the team hotel and watch the game in the directors box.

Fair play to Forest, treating one of their own for being the hero he is.

No fan of Marinakis, but credit where due - great gesture.

Thats a great gesture from the Club. to be fair I think our club would absolutely do something similar, speaking as someone who has been on the recieving end of a kind gesture from them.
What a brave man. I have no doubt they will absolutely look after him. Football is gets a bad rep but it is a very giving community when one of its own needs kindness.

Raised 50k so far ......from what gather he stood in front of the passengers stopping an attack on a girl and then confronted him while they closed the carriage doors he was left to defend himself hence cuts to fingers ...he is due to have operation on his fingers soon he's got long Rd to recovery that's for sure.... surely deserves George medal for his actions....the
Rail worker I hope gets same sort treatment and deserves highest bravery honour for undoubtedly saving lives.

The rail employee who was badly knifed as regained consciousness on Sunday.... very little said about him even though he's credited by everyone police included in saving several lives .... 40k raised for him so far that seems small amount considering he's got long way to go......
Ps he was the chap doing catering trolley on board train! Perhaps was superman in disguise?

Ryan Air refused to refund his ticket, when he couldn’t travel. Nice touch from Forest.

He didn’t have insurance.

Seen his interviews around it?

He comes across as a Wally to be fair.

Maybe he is a wally ... but Ryanair comment was not exactly sympathy! "quote" this is why we encourage people to get insurance so they can claim full refund... way it was put with other things was so sarcastic and its your own fault? I suspect fair was under £200 now forest fans are boycotting them so for a gesture of good will (considering circumstances) they'll lose thousands of pounds before customers start to come back... but knowing their boss and his treatment of customers doubt he cares one jot.

BA on my black list! Payed premium class seats to Antigua and had no entertainment screen no extras like tea wine very small seats compared to virgin airline generally poor service considering payed a lot more for seats... complained and was offered £50 told them stuff it! When had s problem with virgin my normal airline to carribean rang up customer services was given enough air miles to pay for premium seat to Antigua no quibbling unlike BA ... never think of using BA as got poor reputation......

What I see when searching for flights is BA are an expensive ryanair/easyjet cram as many people into aircraft as can ... they use small jets while virgin ect use bigger aircraft with more room used etiad earlier in year to Maldives more room than needed... I'm fussy when it comes to flying and BA Ryanair never a consideration for us to use no matter where we go to.

I can't travel from California to London in economy anymore after 2 back surgeries and needing another as I need to lay down after a few hours, so the last time I flew home it was business class or stay where I was & it wasn't too expensive back then (2019).

The reason I asked is because my sister flew over to visit a couple of months ago & she was flying premium economy into San Francisco on Virgin & I was picking her up at SF airport as I live less than an hour away. Well having flown that route a few times I figured that they would take a while getting through immigration & getting their luggage etc. so I arrived 30 minutes after the flight landed & they were already waiting outside for me as unbeknown to me they (my sis, her other half & my niece) had all flown first class because if you're in Premium economy you can bid to get upgraded to first class if there are spare seats, but not if you're in economy, and she had won with a bid of 550 quid per person.

I was going to let maccydee know it might be a possibility that Etihad do the same sort of thing if he was interested in finding out as it's such a long flight.

I can only wish I was that well off, I would fly over every year rather than having to save up for a few years.

I’ve got business for the trip. Have saved for a long time.

My ex wife did first to America as she was able to upgrade for a lot cheaper then the actual cost would have been.

Know what you mean we fly premium class as much as can because of my medical issue's hence never fly BA again .... but for us it's around £2k more add that to travel insurance of £1500+ getting hard to justify travelling the better way..... it dies have advantages getting on & off plane but unfortunately not the luggage carousel... tried bidding never worked ... my remark was toung in cheek because of what it can cost... flew on man c etiad plane to Maldives in June was OK but seemed less service than on say virgin but plenty of room. 1st class can only dream ! :laughing6:

Back to original OP he will only get use of 75% of hand at best unfortunately he's left handed same one damaged... now raised 62k for him which seems so little for his suffering and potential loss of job as a printer.
