Personally would prefer an away game at a non league side.

Dread to think how empty the stadium would be for a home game against someone like Gateshead.

All relative isn't it. Someone like Merthyr would be delighted to be in this round. It's a grim sign of the times for me.

If we draw a non league side away thats guaranteed to be on TV as we are arguably the biggest league side in the first round.

The first round draw of this season's Emirates FA Cup takes place on Monday, with Cardiff entering as ball number Thirteen

The draw will take place live on TNT Sports 1, discovery+ and on the TNT Sports YouTube page during the pre-match coverage of Worthing v Forest Green Rovers from approximately 6.30pm.

Ties are to be played around the weekend of Saturday 1 November.
