BREAKING: ex-SWAN MANAGER SACKED

Sat Sep 27, 2025 9:48 am

West Ham United Club Statement | Graham Potter

West Ham United can confirm that Head Coach Graham Potter has left the Club.

Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched expectations, and the Board of Directors believe that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible.

The Club can confirm that Assistant Coach Bruno Saltor, First Team Coaches Billy Reid and Narcis Pelach, Lead Goalkeeper Coach Casper Ankergren, and Goalkeeper Coach Linus Kandolin have also left with immediate effect.

The Board would like to thank Graham and his coaching staff for their hard work during their time with the Hammers and wish them every success for the future.

The process of appointing a replacement is underway. The Club will be making no further comment at this time.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Potter. He seems like a decent person but West Ham was never the right fit for his style.

Strange they've waited until two days before a game to do it when it could have been done earlier in the week.

Sounds like Nuno is going there, good appointment.

But they should never have sacked Moyes.

Low life owners! Had meeting with him before press conference he said had positive talks with them so let him take press conference had Santos sighned up before sacking Potter.... should have had decency to sack him at that meeting!

David Sullivan is a terrible owner. He's only marginally better than Tan, there's a reason why West Ham fans want them out.

Some have suggested him buying us if he sells West Ham but I really hope not because wouldn't be that much of a difference.

They want Brady out as well they need new owners to get them out of a spiralling course to relegation
It seems no matter who manager is they're not improving bit like utd... definitely not wanted here .

Just goes to show how good a manager David Moyes is, and how poor David Sullivan and his board are at making ‘the right call

Chris no coincidence that managers no matter how good they are fail with bad owners? Man u ncastle Everton wham spurs ect all have or had owners that have not supported manager in the right way.... city bit like that previously but somehow managed to land on our feet this season with players and coach despite tan an Co still being here,
Will it last without interference from tan that is the question!
