This for me was a big win and the most important to date.

And another clean sheet.

Football just getting better and better and real enjoyable to watch.

Passing the best for years.

But I will say thanks to numerous saves by our goalie Trott who kept us in the game when Luton attacked.

My man of the match Nathan Trott save after save.

There were 3 changes from Tuesday's win - @chriswillock, @10DavidTurnbull and @CallumRobinson7 come in

Salech on bench

Turnbull went off injured and Tanner is out as well, We def need strengthening as more injuries will happen and Winter coming soon.

City played some good football and their passing is getting better and better.

The players also look fit unlike previous years.

FIRST-HALF: City had dominated for 25mins but no real threat then 25 min Robinson great shot and forced the Luton goalie to tip it over the bar.

As time went on Luton took control and and for me Nathan Trott was our best player first-half.

31mins: Joel Colwill replacing injured Turnbull

Trott for City made a few good saves as they took control for a while.

Trott made more saves.

Cardiff had 8 Shots Luton 7 Shots

But 2 of 14 successful crosses by Cardiff.

SECOND-HALF:

48mins Nathan Trott brilliant save from Mcguiness header.

Luton were far better this half and for long periods took control.

Then 68min Willock took in his man and shot and yes goal 0-1

69min Double Sub: Yousef and Calum replace Callum Robinson and Dylan Lawlor

87min, Rubin should of scored v just the keeper.

Yep, very impressed.

Your point about fitness is well made. I don’t think I can remember a Cardiff team pressing with such intensity and winning the ball back even if they’ve lost it so often.

That’s definitely come from BBM and just watch Colwill (R !!) putting everything into getting the ball back. That was his major weakness and probably why Bellers wasn’t picking him for Wales but the penny seems to have dropped and he’s nailing it right now.

Even Willock won a tackle to set himself up for the goal !!

Long may this continue because even old gits like me are getting excited !!

For me, it’s not just the press, we seem to be mastering it.

Teams who don’t know when to press can make an absolute mess of it, it’s not just a case of push forward and press or all teams would do it. We have players who can lob balls out of danger, so to try and press us will take some good pressing. Colwill and Salechseem to work great together when they press, and others are becoming as fluid as the pair (Tanner also before his injury seemed to time pressing as a group really well)

High press to win the ball back in the opposition half has worked amazingly for us, we pinned all teams apart from Port Vale in their box for long periods

Yes, he was far from my first choice as manager but I love the way he’s trying to give us an identity in the way we play. Not only that, his way of playing is lovely to watch and exciting too.

He’s making our players better, unlike previous managers who seemed to perfect a way of making players worse !!!!!!!

This is a weird post.

All everyone is talking about on this thread is the football

Sorry if I've misunderstood?

You mention the increased fitness levels, I think this is most apparent in Rubin Colwill he was chasing down right to the end, and dispossessed one of there players to create his chance at the end.
