TONIGHT: CARDIFF CITY PLAYED DIV4 SWINDON AND RELIED ON A WONDER STRIKE FROM RUBIN COLWILL ONCE AGAIN:

It was City’s Championship players v Div 4 players

I’m glad BBM went out to win this.

But we did make very hard work of it.

But the result is what matters and 2 home wins on the trot.

GOAL! Cardiff City 2-1 Swindon Town (Ehibhatiomhan)

'Relied on a wonder strike from Colwill.' Thats what hes there to do! We were far the superior team and should have won by more but our back four especially Chambers has to be changed. Silly goal to let them vack into the game. Entertaining game though.

Eastleigh,

I 100% agree with you

Better opposition would of punished us

Very important to keep the home wins going. Yes it was hard work and like a lot of others, I hate the fannying around at the back, but into the second round we go

Kpakio looked tired to me and needed changing. Chambers as we all know struggles at cb. Maybe a game at rb give young ronan a rest maybe?. Eli king in the middle as well at 6 far quicker mover of the ball imo

I thought 1st half we had total dominance should have scored more thankfully rubin wonder kick again saved us 2nd half well it's like we thought the work was done they made 3 changes and changed the game a better side would of beaten us that's for sure right chambers isn't a centre back everyone can see it why does bbm persist with this?
Kpakio does well going forward sometimes his defending is suspect he's learning fair enough
Midfield wintle sorry to slow laboured right goalkeeper trott brought in because of his distribution? His kicking downfield is awful is decision making playing a short pass out puts players under pressure so for me I liked turner tonight he faced one shot no saves again

Looking at tonight, Chambers NOT A CB, we are struggling on the RB position, we looked very nervous at the back. But its a win against a side we dominated but we failed to score a hat full of goals, some players need to take a hard look at themselves.

Chambers soft spot again!

What was good to see though, was we didn’t get bullied as much as we have done, and considering this Swindon team was a league 2 side, I take that as a positive, as they’re going to be physical, especially under a manager like Holloway.

The only reason I think Swindon came back into it was BBM didn’t make changes early enough to keep the energy in the team, and Chambers is an absolute donkey.

Still stand by what I said, this team will get stronger as they get more used to physical teams.

One thing that matters is that we're in the next round and it's another win at home.

Chambers obviously can't start at CB against Rotherham.

First half was great. Lost a bit of control in the second half, but Swindon only had one shot on target.

Didn't really ever think we would lose.

On to Rotherham.

I think the most glaringly obvious thing we can take from tonight is we desperately need a dominating no nonsense center back through the door asap

Apart from that we created a lot of chances and should have won comfortably

Thought turnbull looked decent he sees a pass that 99% of our squad don't and think he will be a big player for us this season

I don’t like having chambers in the back four. I think it contributes to the panicking. Much prefer him as a 6.

I don't think we can keep playing Kpakio at R week in week out, he really does put the shits up me, first half he tried to clear the ball and only succeeded on playing the ball to a Swindon player to lash a shot from the edge of our box. He tries too many clever flicks for my liking instead of defending properly. Going forward he is good but I think he needs to work on his defending and cut out the clever stuff, it might be OK in training but it's a different thing on the pitch.

Personally I think he shouldn’t be near the team.

He takes too long to move the ball too, which won’t work in this team.

Thought we looked decent overall but should have scored more. I think we push chambers to rb and start lawyer and fish at centre half.

Not Promising…

Tonight’s game with a “strong team” was not impressive at all. Way too dodgy at the back, and we don’t look like scoring at all. Think back to the neil warnock days… you could see a goal coming etc. Well you don’t get the same feeling with the way we played the last 3 games.

With players wanting to leave. Tan still in charge. Unsure of when the next signing is coming from. It just seems a bit worrying.

If we don’t get promoted this season does that mean Tan will stay? His aspirations with no intention to invest is an absolute mystery in my opinion.

The squad is way to young.. The squad is not deep enough and players are unhappy.

To end my rant. Why is it fans are so bias on results. We knew the squad was young… We knew we didn’t sign anyone. So why was there an expectation to win last Thursdays game? it’s hilarious and to see people switch sides with the club after the result concluded… it’s unbelievable.

Ashford should have scored, and it looks a bit better. BBM is still unbeaten, although the opposition has been weak.

I would have like to have seen us boss the game in the 2nd half instead of letting them back into it.

I'm hoping to see a lot more of this as we go into the season.
