Talk about fantasy football.... Liverpool spent nearly 300m could spend another 200m and still be within profitability and sustainability rules ...and thats not counting income from player sales! Total fantasy..... :o

To be fair, they only signed one player last summer so were probably in a good place with PSR.

They're selling a few players too and would have got good prize money for winning the league.

But it is a lot of money spent so far.

Think 4 top clubs between them spent close to £1billion.. Sunderland just over 100m.
. Think this shows the disparity between being in premier league and championship.
City going up need this takeover!

I'll be honest, I don't know anything about drafts. Just picked a team (probably change it before the season starts) and done the league in the traditional way.

For the team for now, I've gone for this as a starting 11:

Sels

Tarkowski
Ait Nouri
Munoz

Enzo
Mbeumo
Cunha
Elanga
Salah

Joao Pedro
Gyokeres

Gone for Tarkowski because of the new rules, think he could score heavily with defensive points.

Mbeumo and Cunha look like they'll do well for Man Utd.

Can see Gyokeres outscoring Haaland.

Sels has good goalkeeping stats.

Ned. I do like your midfield. I started off with Enzo, as I thought he would attract similar points to Palmer, but then I made alterations and went for Palmer.

The new scoring rules certainly make Tarkowski more interesting.

TBH I had forgotten about Gyokeres - so may need to do a 5th - Anyway here is the 4th

I like the Larsen and Anderson choices, both could be high point scorers.

Yeah I've gambled a lot on the midfield.

Premier League starts on Friday.

I'll finalise my team this week.

But I'm tempted to find a place for Grealish. Didn't really fit in at Man City but can see him being the main man at Everton, a bit like he was at Villa. Should be heavily involved with goals and assists.

OMG when did that happen. I might have to rethink my side now.

Do I stick with Kudus (6.5) first game against Burnley or do I go for Grealish (6.5) away at Leeds.

Only just went through today and I instantly thought that he'd do well at Everton.

Normally would say stick with Kudus for the first game because Grealish has only just gone to Everton a few days before the start of the season, but the fact that Everton don't play until Monday night means he'll have a bit more time training with them. So that's a tricky one.

I'm probably going to put Grealish straight into my team and just hope he starts straight away on Monday.

So 2 weeks ago I uploaded what was then my 4th Draft and felt pretty happy with my side.

Some two weeks later, and potentially now on Draft #15, I have finally set on my starting line up which is as follows:

Tan should be the owner of a team in this - he lives in a fantasy world after all.

I've gone with this.

A few risks in there so it could crash and burn but risks worth taking I think.

Decided to go against Salah so I could get better depth and better players in other parts, such as having two goalkeepers who can do well and are likely to play every week.

Palmer was cheaper and should collect plenty of points, so decided to choose him instead.

No, wouldn't use it too early.

Just a reminder that the Premier League starts tonight.

The GW1 deadline for FPL is 6.30pm.

Shocking start for me

Konsa sent off.

Gyokeres did nothing.

Sesko only played 25 minutes.

Left Dean Henderson (6pts), Ait Nouri (9pts) and Caicedo (5pts) on the bench.

Somehow need Tarkowski and Grealish to rescue it tomorrow.

Bad start but not going to panic!

Ned. I just saw. Bit of a shocker that mate!

After watching Ekitike performance on Friday I decided to make two changes and take Wirtz and Joao Pedro out and put Reijnders and Ekitike in.

Happy to take the -4 as I got them both before the price rise last night.

I got the feeling watching Liverpool that Salah is not going to score as many as he did last season and that most of the goals will come from Ekitike

Much much better for me so far this week.

Gyokeres gets me 24 points because he's my captain.

15 for Pedro, 9 for Grealish and 8 for Tarkowski.

Caicedo on the bench with 8 but he'll come in because Palmer didn't play.

Mbeumo, Wirtz and Sesko left to play still.

But annoyingly Sesko is on the bench again. Thought he might have started today.
