Mike, ignore him. He knows less than he thinks but you have to admire his confidence; particularly with so little to back himself up!
To answer your (valid) question, it has been mooted that it was Dalman who persuaded Tan not to sell ‘at this point’, but the reality is no one has confirmed either way
It will all come out in the end, but it’s not like Mehmet has nothing to gain from Tan staying on @ 9% interest on c.£40m, is it?

Lol. You are funny. Sven.
I know about as much as you for fact which is sweet F.A.
@mike it was just opinion mate going off what respected posters on here say about tan, he is the dictator, he makes all the decisions (very badly) he notoriously difficult to deal with. My opinion just sways that way, doesn’t me I’m right though and I’m fully aware of that. I don’t know what Sven getting his knickers in a twist over with me.

There you go again! Making assumptions!![]()
My ‘knickers’ are certainly not in ‘a twist’, I simply passed on information that had been mooted but not confirmed, whilst you made a bold (quote) ‘nope’ statement!’
I’m sure Mike will form his own opinion, as he always does!![]()

It’s well documented on here I don’t trust the guy and never will, i got tired of warning people not to believe a word the man says as he is polotician/spin doctor.
It really would not surprise one bit if the OP is correct or at the very least close to the truth.

Tan nearly sold the club 18 months ago. We have heard plenty of talk that he wants to sell which you can’t blame him for as his net worth is half of what it was before he bought Cardiff City.
I’ve spoken to a few mates above this and this is our theory. Dalman talked Tan out of selling the club at the last moment, and here’s why we think that.
It was Tan who approached the backers, not the other way around. He wants out but his chairman and trusted advisor tried to get a consortium together himself but was then given the job of dealing with the interested groups. Now that is a conflict of interest.
So Tan has been advised to not sell and not to spend any money because we have a new manager who is highly experienced coaching youngsters and apparently ours are capable of getting us promoted. The likelihood is we don’t get promoted. The asking price drops and who’s there ready to swoop in…….Dalman…….
Don’t forget, Dalman earns over £4m a year via Cardiff City through interest and wages and that doesn’t include what he puts down as expenses.
So ask yourself again….Is Dalman controlling Tan without Tan realising.

Well all I will say to that is there was a deluge of mocking this forum when Dalman spoke. Those mocking I asked them if they believe in Dalman. Some said they would rather believe in Dalman than this forum. As we say the truth will eventually come out.

Tan nearly let go, but not for the first time, backed out late into a process
He did the same a year or so ago, although I don’t know the identity of the first group

I'm certainly not disbelieving you but why wouldn't Tan just go straight to his son for the investment.

I think that it's a way of dalman to get money without a wage , dalmans hasn't had a wage since 2018 around the time of the 2nd lot of his so called investment went in.

Dalman is on a £650k wage, there's no way he would continue as MD if he wasn't getting paid.
