BB’s Babes

Thu Aug 07, 2025 6:43 am

Good luck to the young warriors tonight, win, lose or draw let’s give them every chance to develop and improve, which I genuinely believe they will under BB’s tutelage. If and when they lose, as long as they ‘put a shift in’ let’s clap them off all the same :bluebird:

There was some booing at half time Saturday (totally convinced it was for the referee) . As they develop they will definitely make errors which is obviously part of the learning process. Encouragement is the oxygen of the soul. :bluebird:

Defo booing ref Saturday felt the whole stadium was behind the bluebirds

The support was incredible, the ‘Ref’ abysmal :banghead: I have watched the replay of the incident over and over and our player got the ball first ! Obviously the ‘Ref’ didn’t have the luxury of slow motion replays. However the team responded magnificently to the injustice :bluebird:

The booing at half time was 100% for the referee, hope tonight's is a bit better.

But totally agree with what you've said, safe trip to the 2,200+ travelling :bluebird:

BB's babes bit did make me laugh after playing one game Vs a team who nearly got relegated last season.

Let's hope we get another win tonight eitherway whoever plays and a better fecking ref tonight would be a bonus for sure :bluescarf:

I think we’re getting a little carried away…

If we were in the Championship playing these youngsters it would be different, in reality we would be sending them to league one, the difference is we are that league one club!

Not necessarily Sunderland was forced to do what we've done and play a team average age 21 but they survived and following season where are they now?

They all laughed at Alan Hansens famous quip “ you’ll never win anything with kids” I’m just going to enjoy the journey :bluebird:

BB’s Babes will have a real test this week against two physical sides let’s just hope and pray we don’t get too many knocks. Been a very pleasing start and the ‘Babes’ can only get better with more game time together. Here’s hoping football wins rather than the ‘cloggers’ :bluebird:

They are doing well to this point - Long may it continue - But they need back up with new faces to add to the squad :bluebird:

Absolutely, football has been a breath of fresh air, as you correctly state, reinforcements are needed. This is a rough and tumble league and we need adequate replacement options when needed. Tough one again against The Hatters where the defence will be tested once again. The very best of luck to them all I say. :bluebird:

All the very best today to BB’s Babes doing our great City proud currently :bluebird: Obviously a tough game on paper hopefully the improvement will continue and The Babes will give one and all a bank holiday bonus :occasion5: Win it for Ollie :bluebird:

As someone who normally dislikes the international breaks (no domestic games) I am actually hoping we have a few on duty to give the majority of the squad a break as BB has previously stated his intention to compete with strong teams in cup competitions. Let’s see what happens selection wise against Cheltenham :bluebird:

I'm hoping likes of Turner King ng etc gets close to 90mins in them and gives a few regular starters a rest

That’s a good call actually, I’ll give BB a call now, oh hang on it’s a bit early I will just text him  seriously though, good call  :bluebird:

62% possession away at a club like Luton with such a young group of lads and now top of the league.
No matter what division we are in, if that doesn't get the football juices flowing, nothing will!

Great to be immersed in so much positivity, great for the fans :bluebird: The players must love going ‘To Work’ knowing they will actually be playing football that people enjoy watching and I am sure a style they love playing :bluebird:

All the very best to BB’s Babes tonight, hopefully get through, draw a premiership team then we can really see where the ‘Babes’ are at :bluebird:

The thing is with injuries etc the likes of King and NG needs mins in their legs to get them up to game speed. So Cheltenham tonight is a great way to do it

Hopefully see Robertson as well, would love to get through and get a premiership club at home, Maybe teach them a trick or two  :bluebird:

Good opportunity against premiership opponents to showcase the progress. Premiership teams normally try and play football which should give the ‘babes’ more space to exploit. Also I would assume premiership survival will be the target for Burnley so hopefully a winnable tie :bluebird:

Back to league action for BB’s babes tomorrow against a Plymouth team desperate for points who are bringing approximately 3000 fans. This could well be the biggest crowd the babes have played in front of, however nothing seems to faze this young team. Hopefully galvanised by our new signing ‘Osho’ who will hopefully teach them plenty.Be brave tomorrow or we could well come unstuck. Here’s wishing the entire team all the very best, top of the league which is tough to achieve, staying there is much tougher :bluebird:
