Brian Barry-Murphy:
"Dylan Lawlor was substituted because the fourth official said he'd be sent off if he made another serious foul.
Because of the way we were playing, there was a good chance he'd have to do one on one defending.
We took him off because playing the remainder of the game with ten men would have made it more difficult than it needed to be."

Thought he was excellent on the ball yesterday
When the big centre forward put him under pressure (and went down like a sack of spuds every time he was touched) he started to struggle a little bit
You’d like to think as he gets stronger he’ll be able to cope more and could really be some player
BBM took the right decision there I think

I think lawlor did well yesterday but!! Sometimes his inexperince shun through that will only get better with game time or playing with more experienced players but promising start

Very composed on ball sometimes seems a bit too calm for my heart but all in all solid performance but glad he went off as said to my mate he needs to go before he's sent off.
Another quality prospect there though

No doubting the kids ability and he is a great prospect. Great with the ball at his feet and a star of the future i believe. He rushed into a few tackles yesterday when all he needed to do was hold the player up His yellow was a prime example. He really was saved by the pen as his tackle was far worse than the yellow he had.
He got out muscled a bit by a young but big center forward Some old head will love playing against him i am sure. He will learn from the experience and only improve.
He really is playing in the hardest position for any young player in mens football in my opinion

He was always going to struggle a bit with the physicality in Div1 due to his age and inexperience
But he will learn and get better as the season progresses and I have no doubt he will be full Welsh international within 12 months
I’ve followed his development for the last 2 years and as long as he keeps working hard he’s going to be a very good player

Couple of clumsy late challenges, apart from that he was good!

Composed but also give away a few needless passes when looking for Tanner or Kpakio which put us in trouble. Decent start for him but that needs to be cut out of his game.

It was definitely the right call to sub him.
Was nice to see for such a young man that he wasn’t afraid to fly into tackles and leave something on them.
“Here I am, bang”
He will be fine this season, he will excel personally.

I think we need an experienced centre half next to him to talk/help him through the game - is Chambers the man for this? . I feel Fish is still learning the trade himself and should be looked at being an alternative for Lawlor alongside . Going forward , when we play the better teams we will need a solid defence to scrap out wins and we need to be more clinical in front of goal too, kept Posh in game by not taking our chances which puts defence under pressure.

I thought he done ok but got took off for giving the ball away three times in the second half with his miss placed passes that's why I thought he come off but he got good experience from yesterday for the season ahead

He looks a good footballing central defender but he got bullied a bit as the game went on and this Division will prove tricky for him in that respect. Great to have him as a very exiting prospect but he needs to be used sparingly until he has matured physically a bit more

He will be alright.
When you’re young at this position in senior football, the speed of the game and physicality of grown men can catch you by surprise.

Good to see the officials giving a heads up. Not used to that for football, only in Rugby.

It is clear that our manager has faith in these young players and they will get game time and learn what is needed by BBM .
