" Ryan Wintle "

Arguably one of the best games he's ever played for us today.

This league is more his level and he was good with his tackling and interceptions.

Very steady performance.
Should be much more influential at this level.

I described his performance as immaculate.

He was the glue holding our team together.

There are games last season we could have really used him.

A brilliant, faultless performance.

Would have been MOM if it wasn't for Rubin... Very impressed with Turner too who made a couple of vital saves and had pretty good distribution too.

I’ve always like Wintle and wondered why he was shut out last season.

If it was Bulut as was said that’s our loss.

It was Bulut and it's also why Ng's level dropped. Wintle is his best mate and he wasn't happy about it.

I thought he was exceptional today

Yeah I was debating him and Colwill for MOTM. Also a a calm head infront of the defence

A Peterborough fan on there forum summed up Wintle for me today, he said "how are we supposed to create chances with Wintle intercepting everything and breaking up every ball we play into there half"

Could Wintle be the glue that holds this team together and allows the creative players to flourish

Solid player. Will do well in this league.

So glad he had a good game. He didn't deserve to be booted out last year. He seems a true professional, all he did was speak out against the sh!t show that Bulut and his staff were forcing on the team.

Im still unconvinced, but he did well today. Too many diags that didnt work though. When keeping it simple and solid, he ran the pace. I liked his battling off the ball. Chambers straight in next match for me, still.

This is why we have a 6 in the midfield. Wintle and King will be vital in their roles this season.

Him and ralls were similar players if BBM knew he was going to keep wintle you could see why he’d let go off ralls.

I think during the season he’ll get more out if wintle than he would have ralls

Bulut and Riza were double pivot guys, and I think Ralls and Wintle got in each other's ways. Ralls was more of an 8 anyway.

a 6 with advanced 8's is aggressive and i love it.

Wintle was exceptional today

So many times he was in the right place to intercept when we gave the ball away. I thought some of his longer passes to Tanner were excellent, but especially in the first half, Tanner's final ball or touch when in space was poor.

He did improve after putting in an excellent cross for Salech.

I said it in a previous post, if we don't bring in the players identified, Wintle and how NG returns after injury will be key to linking our promising youngsters with vital experience.

Put a lot of effort in and had a good match. One of several who were in contention for Man of the Match :ayatollah:

Always was a good player its just thay he has suffered from managers not recognising his abilities to just get on with the job , no flash, no histrionics, few goals ,great connections player who reads the game finds his man simply , ie Mcphail..

He cleared up so much for us and was the key to a
Good platform to build from. He was outstanding for us and finally being asked to play correctly. Cool as a cucumber and picked out so many good forward passes.
