Cardiff City are set to sign FC Copenhagen goalkeeper Nathan Trott on loan until the end of the season.

There is also an option to buy.

Trott, 26, joined Copenhagen in 2024 and made 30 first team appearances for the Danish club last season - including ten in the UEFA Conference League.

Burnley away finished him I think, difficult to recover from that.

Confidence always one of the biggest things for a goalkeeper.

Fresh start would probably do all parties well. Won't be surprised if he does well elsewhere.

I've never felt comfortable with horvarth in goal even in the qpr game the other day I felt a more proactive keeper would of steamed off his line and cleared the ball over the top that lead to the second goal

I think we expected him to do stuff he can't do. He is a specialist goalkeeper, primarily an amazing athlete/ shot stopper; a bit like Etheridge. But we have had a series of managers who insist on passing the ball to him; he is shit at that, and it destroyed his confidence. I can't recall that being a prerequisite at Luton.

Our recruitment has been abysmal. The club signing players for a manager who has a totally different ideas.

Hes not been one that inspires confidence and dominance in the box.

Not heard of him before, but played at a good standard in France and a good standard in Denmark, aswell as European competition’s.

Also noticed Brandon Williams, ex Man Utd and Ipswich LB is still a free agent. Brilliant player, but by all accounts terrible attitude.
Would be one hell of a signing if BBM could get him sorted.

I rated hovarth but unfortunately confidence is the main thing for a keeper, that was battered at the Burnley game.

If we can get a fee for him sell him, this guy must be half decent Copenhagen are a good outfit and playing in Europe is always a good thing.

Did well at another Danish club. Didn't really fit in at Copenhagen, but they're a big club and way above our level.

Seems to be relatively highly rated but I doubt any of us know much about him so can't be positive or negative until we've seen him play.

I hope it's true, the keeper, as I believe Alnwick is terrible.

Horvath is levels above him in stopping the ball going into the net, but just looks so uncomfortable with the ball, whilst Anlwick is keepy-up champion but always reacts too late when someone dares to shoot.

I never saw the game today, but I doubt he made any saves of note.

Their first goal was a wonder strike from just outside the box, the second goal was from a cock up between Spiers and Turnbull near the halfway line, their centre forward shot from the edge of the penalty box centre of goal maybe Alnwick could have come out a bit to narrow the angle, the ball ends up in the corner of the net
