Yes he’s under Contract and yes he can refuse to be sold or we can refuse to sell him either way.

He may refuse to be sold but the club would have ways of forcing him to go whether he wants to or not.

The manager (who seems to be another in a line of managers so desperate for a job that they'll put up with whatever Tan wants them to do) could be told not to select Salech or make him train with the reserves if he refused to be sold.

Don't forget how David Marshall was sold against his wishes - he was heartbroken when forced to leave for the relatively paltry sum we received for him.

Think there are a few more that need off loading..
Hopefully we can hang on to Salech Robertson.. bring in a couple of free agents/ loanees .

In fairness to Sam I don't think the sale of Kav to Wigan was to "line his own pockets"

The club was losing money hand over fist at the time and there was the famous story of Kav travelling by helicopter to sign for Wigan in order to get the transfer monies (about £400k if I remember) into the club's coffers to pay running costs.

It was quite a shock to Kav at the time too!

Your comments defo confirm though that BBM was not the clubs first choice to be manager, more the only one that would work with no budget. Hope to God he comes good.

Really need to keep Salech now. No1 is gonna be able to handle him in league 1. Keeping Robertson would be great too but Salech will be key. Would Tan really be that stupid and sell our prized asset when he's possibly close to selling the club??? It would be a nice parting gift, a nice dig in the ribs...but to see the back of him, I think I'd take anything.

He won't sell otherwise risks buyers pulling out something tan will not want... once sold family silver got nothing else to sell so he'll lose even more money and any more cost cutting will lead to relegation and loss of even more money... so it's on his interest to keep buyers on board.

Des was just about to be installed as manager (as stated by Worcester) and I was very happy with that. Apparently he was told various things about money being available for players. This caused delay and he was given no guarantees about money and was told it was unlikely there would be money so he respectfully dropped out.

That came from someone close to Oxford United so not sure if true.

BUT the buyers None of them have gone away and are all still wanting us.

As I said yesterday The South African has spoken to Dalman about if a deal can be reached.

Tan though intends to Trim Our Whole Club even more so that it can reach as low as a loss if £5Mill a year.

BBM, NO Money at all Available, But he knew this when he took the job, that’s why it took so long to find a Manager.

If a good offer for Salech comes in, he will be Sold to make it a Zero loss for Tan this season.

If the club is worth 40m that would not be a random number, it would be calculated and include player values. If Salech is sold then the value of the club falls and Tan would get less.

Its in tans best jnterest to not sell salech, as others have said assets sold means value of club lowers! Sooner old man tan fucks off the better all round. Hopefully January time everything signed, sealed and delivered.

The problem is than Tan has done things for years that wasn’t in his best interest.

So selling Salech wouldn’t surprise me, but I would be gutted. He is our biggest chance of promotion.

Keeping hold of Salech, and I dare say Robinson, is not just their value - those interested in buying the club appear to be offering £40m plus £40m because they see promotion this season.

If we are a club, without two decent strikers, and are looking more like a mid table division 1 side - then we are much less attractive to buyers
